My 71 year old grandmother couldn't get enough of Wii Tennis. This is the same grandma who used to think god hates videogames (and she'd try to get my parents to ban them from me).
----
My girlfriend played a little Wii bowling with my twin brother and HIS girlfriend and thought it was fun... But then we played some Tennis and she wants a Wii now, BAD.
----
Had my 2 sisters and their respective husband/bf over(all gamers), my mom and along with my gf(non gamers), we had a blast creating Mii's, playing Wii Sports before dinner, after dinner, checking out the Ins and Outs of what the Wii had to offer.
----
my girlfriend absolutely LOVES it. Both days she was the one who suggested we bust it out, not me. She would never go beyond Mario Kart or Nintendogs before.
----
Thanksgiving Day:
Had a crew of friends over. Ended up playing the Wii for a good six hours. These were people my age who were not hardcore players, and despite my shiny new PS3 sitting there alongside the 360, neither were turned on the entire day.
----
My girlfriend had two of her friends stop by for the night who were headed down to San Diego. These women were in their 40s. Both of them were hopelessly addicted. We played the Wii for four hours straight. Both said they wanted to buy one.
----
My Dad, who hasn't played video games since NES, tried out Wii Sports today. He totally loves it, and the whole family has been playing for hours. Then I showed him the Virtual Console, and he freaked out when he saw NES Zelda on there, since it was his favorite NES game. Now he's been playing that for an hour.
----
My nearly 70 y/o dad was really into bowling and tennis. Although he got a little to into it. When playing me in tennis he started to really reach for the ball and whacked me in the arm on one shot. Later on playing bowling, he didn't see my neice running around the corner and he whacked her in the head during the shot. She fell and cried, but was alright. But he wound up not picking up the spare :
----
My parents and grandparents loved the thing. The funny thing is, they didn't even know it exsisted before they showed it to them. They hear new game system and they immediately think "oh, you mean that new playstation?"
----
Yeah, Nintendo is definately on to something. I never seen my GF play games as much as she is now. She's put serious time into Wii Sports. She plays it all the time. She now has created her own profile, wants to buy her own controller and wants me to buy the "Surgery Game" for her.

These stories make me sick to the bone

I can't get a Wii because of these bandwagon jumping "gamers" sucking up the Wii retail supply.
When am I going to play Zelda? :'(
