May 5, 2006 - Publisher Activision has a number of projects underway for Nintendo's Wii console, including Call of Duty 3 and Spider-Man. But the company plans to debut at least one of its major franchises with the launch of the Big N's new generation system: Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam.
The uniuqe take on the Tony Hawk games puts players in charge of a crazy skateboarder as they speed -- you guessed it -- down giant mountain roads, all the while performing tricks and catching air. Downhill Jam is being designed specifically for Wii.
IGN Wii recently interviewed developer Toys For Bob about the project in this exclusive video interview.
A note to viewers: Although we have direct-feed of the game in motion, we are unable to provide it in today's video interview. Nintendo of America does not want any Wii footage released prior to the kick-start of E3 2006. That noted, we've posted a shortened version of our video interview minus gameplay footage, but it does include official art and concepts from the game.
Tune in next week for the full video interview complete with gameplay footage.
