Und was ist, wenn die Custom Firmware dem Spiel "ich bin firmware 3.5" sagt?
 
So, der Homebrew Browser für die PS3 ist derzeit auch schon in der mache, nennst sich Open Pstore und es sollte bald weitere Informationen geben.
Lady's and gentlemen, boys and girls. I present to you.... Open Pstore! If anyone is familiar with the Homebrew Browser on the Nintendo Wii, well this does the very same thing, except that it's for your PS3! With it you will be able to download all sorts of (legal) homebrew goodies as they become available directly to your PS3. They are currently looking for developers who want to contribute and add there applications to the store. The Developers claim that if you do not or cannot connect your PS3 to the internet not to worry, there is also a PC version available that can be used instead. The PC version is simply a web page where the user logs in to gain access to the downloads. The user then manually places the files onto a USB stick and transfers them over to there PS3 systems. There are currently 4 devs working on this project, they are: The_Marioga, AdriHades, DanteHades and PSmaniaco. You must first sign up to the site in order to gain access to more information.

Here is a roughly translated quote from the developers:

Ach ja, @allMiesmacher wenn es euch nicht interessiert, dann bleibt doch bitte endlich mal draußen!

Wieso sollten wir draussen bleiben? Das thema interessiert uns genauso, nur das wur eben hoffen das sony diesen "war" gewinnt.

Die breite masse wird evtl von dem crack eh nix haben, bis due erfahren das die ps3 crackbar mit der 3.41er firmware ist, haben die eh schon die 3.42er installiert.

Sony hat den war seit Bekanntgabe dieses Cracks verloren.
Sowas kann man nicht mehr gewinnen, man kann es nur herauszögern, was Sony auch geschafft hat.

Sie können eventuell eine neue Slim-Variante rausbringen... aber die wird jetzt nicht die über 30.000.000 verkauften Konsolen betreffen.
Und selbst die wird eines Tages gehacked werden.
 
Sieht außer mir noch jemand den direkten Zusammenhang zwischen dem Verbot, Homebrew-Software zu installieren (Other OS Funktion) und dem Hack?

Imo war das ne Saublöde Aktion von Sony, weil sie die Leute mit Fachwissen (auch gerne "Hacker" genannt) gegen sich aufgebracht haben
 
glaub nicht, dass das nun so ne riesen auswirking darauf hatte.

wurde bestimmt schon davor daran gewerkelt.

das hab ich schon immer behauptet... man sollte ja auch mal beachten, dass mit der slim erst das interesse nach einem "ps3 hack" wuchs...

sony ist imo selbst schuld :nix:
 
Ab dem Zeitpunkt wo Sony Linux für die PS3 verboten hat war es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit bis die PS3 geknackt wird. Das war DER Ansporn für die Gruppen und Sony ist selbst schuld, das stimmt.
