Raidou Has Lost His Memory In Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

Raidou no longer has his memory from previous Dead or Alive games in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Team Ninja have revealed. Here’s Raidou’s backstory and description for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round:

Presumed dead after being defeated in the original DOA Tournament, Raidou was partially reconstructed with cybernetic parts and now returns as a half-mechanized killing machine. Having lost his memory as a side effect of his cybernetic upgrades, all that remains is his unquenchable thirst for power, and his willingness to use whatever brutal methods it takes to achieve glory.

Hailing from the same ninja clan as Kasumi and Hayate, Raidou was exiled from his own village when his brutal thirst for power went too far, only deepening his hatred of the clan. His fighting style is Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu at its core, and he even possesses the ability to recognize and imitate the moves of opponents he has encountered, while keeping original techniques up his sleeve.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be released in North America and Europe this February. The game is in development for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Neee..glaub ich immer noch nicht. XD Ist doch seltsam, das Koei Tecmo das nicht schon längst bekanntgegeben hat. Je länger sie damit warten, desto mehr werden die Konsolenversionen bestellen und je angepisster werden die Käufer sein, wenn es dann urplötzlich auf den letzten Drücker doch noch für PC erscheint.

äh ne, das ist eigentlich üblich. Sega hatte Valkyria Chronicles z.B. nur wenige Tage vor Release geheim gehalten, gleiches gilt für Square Enix und Final Fantasy 13. Aus dem Grund hatte Rockstar GTA5 auch 2012 noch nicht angekündigt, als die PC-Version schon in der Mache war.

keine Sorge, bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass Boxler die PSVersion für genauso sinnlos halten und umgekehrt. (War Bereich ist btw um die Ecke, gehört hier nicht hin)

Ich freue mich drauf, die Fans haben bei den ganzen Kostüm Contents sowieso gezeigt, dass sie deutlich bessere Kostüme machen können ^^

Ressourcen in neuen Content? Als ob das nicht sowieso unabhängig voneinander läuft..

Tomonobu Itagaki On Dead or Alive 5: “My Daughter Was Totally Ruined”

Prior to co-founding Valhalla Studios, Itagaki used to work at Team Ninja, where he developed Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. Despite the fact he resigned from Team Ninja years ago, Itagaki is still rather attached to the Dead or Alive series, which he helped create, and it looks like he isn’t happy with the way the more recent games have turned out.

In response to a fan complaining about Dead or Alive 5, Itagaki stated: “I have started to find how/what I can do for my daughter/DOA. Straightly speakin’, my daughter was totally ruined, spoiled. I can’t/shouldn’t avert my eyes from that fact. Many DOA fans here are crying, I will do something for DOA after I finished Devil’s Third.”

Itagaki was part of Team Ninja owner Tecmo until 2008, following which he left the company and sued them for unpaid bonuses. Ever since, he has had less-than-flattering things to say about the company, including one story about how he was tricked into releasing Dead or Alive 2 before it was complete.
