Kann man sowohl Positiv als auch negativ sehen.
Abwarten was es wird, kann auch eine Wii U sein ohne Laufwerk.
Kann ein Patent sein was nie benutzt wird, der Karten Slot kann auch auf Module hinweise.

Ich hab LTE Internet was jeden Monat nen limit hat und wenn ich immer Vollpreisspiele laden müsste würde ich auch kotzen da Deutschland ein internet dritte Weltland ist aber abwarten wüde da nicht zu viel hinein interpretieren

Ich glaube bzw hoffe es wird eher ein 3DS Nachfolger. Allerdings ist auch ein Hybrid vorstellbar.

Hast du auch eine quelle für die 40%? Ich hoffe schwer dass das fehlen des optischen laufwerks durch speicherkarten wie bei handhelds ausgeglichen wird.

It's a game console! The example console has no disc drive. You connect it to a television and play video games.

The example is totally of a Digital-only console but this in no way restricts any other NX hardware to be exactly that, says patent. Digital-only can be made on the cheap tho, says patent.
Passage literally confirming NX device with disc drive (bolded is my notes):

Das nicht, aber es würde erlauben Nintendo Spiele so zu spielen wie man sie spielen will oder zumindest die Auswahl erhöhen. Wii U Pad wird weiterhin unterstützt oder es gibt nen neuen Controller mit Touchpad, wird aber vermutlich nicht "das Feature" der Konsole sein. Man kann zu einer günstigeren Download Only Konsole greifen oder weiterhin eine mit Laufwerk nehmen. Handheldspiele würden vermutlich auch auf der Konsole laufen (die Codes für unterschiedliche Konfigurationen verarbeiten kann), was ich extrem gut finden würde, man hätte alle Nintendogames auf einem Gerät und Handheldfans bekommen halt dennoch ihren Handheld

Für etwaige Revolutionen gäbe es sicher auch andere Nintendopatente, die werden kaum alles offen legen, wobei man ohnehin nicht davon ausgehen kann, dass das alles so 1:1 kommen wird, die meisten Patente nutzt Nintendo nicht.

Jo, sie hätte nur kein Laufwerk für Discs, Flashkarten wie beim Handheld schließt das nicht aus, bestätigt werden sie aber auch nicht. Wie Iwata früher schon sagte läuft es am Ende aber ohnehin auf mehr Formfaktoren und Konfigs raus als bisher. Ne Diskvariante würde es wohl weiterhin geben.

Könnte auf Rückwärtskompatibilität zur Wii U hindeuten?

Eventuell wird die Wii U in die NX Familie aufgenommen und so auch weiter supportet (zumindest nen Teil der Spiele)

Ohne optisches Medium wäre in Ordnung, allerdings dann bitte ohne always-online-Zwang. Allerdings gilt zu befürchten, dass aus diversen Gründen (z.B. um Software vor dem Start zu authentifizieren) genau das Hand in Hand kommen könnte.

Naja das war ja nur bei M$ ursprünglicher Lösung so, weil man noch ein Optisches Medium hatte. Der Vorteil wäre gewesen man hätte die Disc bei der Xbox One nur einmal zum Installieren gebraucht (Bei PS4 und One sind die ja nur noch zu DRM Zwecken im Laufwerk, Spiele werden ja komplett installiert). Nachteil wäre gewesen man muss Online sein um sicherzustellen das man die Spiele nicht auf mehreren Konsolen (mit unterschiedlichen Accounts) installiert.

Hätten lieber das Steam Konzept nehmen sollen das ja mittlerweile relativ akzeptiert ist. Also Code zum Aktiveren und binden an den Account. Dafür brauch man dann die Disc nie wieder und kann es so oft wie man will installieren und sogar downloaden.

Aber sie wollten ja mit dem Online Zwang auch eine Cloud Einbindung erzwingen, weshalb sie ihr Konzept wohl besser fanden.

Nicht nur eventuell, sondern mit ziemlich hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit. Bei der Ankündigung hat Nintendo ja gesagt, dass NX die WiiU "absorbieren" wird.

Das klingt doch ganz cool Es wird im Auge behalten, weil ich das WiiU-Konzept grundsätzlich gut fand. Jetzt fehlt nur noch eine ausreichend starke Hardware für einen Thirds-Party-Support (also nicht nur Indies) und es rückt in Richtung Day1!

Ich konnte mir immer vorstellen, dass Nintendo ein eigenes Smartphone entwickelt. Aber eines mit physischen Knöpfen.

Was auch immer uns das Patent allerdings jetzt sagt, ist jedenfalls etwas ganz anderes.

Sieht halt stark nach Konsole und Handheld mit den gleichen Modulen aus.

Dann hat man sowohl im Laden als auch im eShop Crossbuy.

Spricht aber auch dafür das beide eher im Low Price Segment angesetzt sein werden. Eine PS4 like Konsole mit Modulen wäre wohl nicht möglich. Da bräuchte man ja für die meisten Spiele 64 GB Module und das wird sich wohl kaum lohnen. 3DS hat ja 1-8 GB, wobei 8 GB nur theoretisch sind, weil noch nie genutzt. Denke also mal die nächsten werden ein Maximum von 16-32 GB haben was ja zu den 25 GB einer WiiU Disc passt.

Oder es ist ein Konzept für eine WiiU Mini. DS/3DS Slot anstatt einem Disc Laufwerk (oder das ist einfach ein SD Karten Slot), neuer Controller (eher wie der Pro Controller nur mit kleinem Screen (4 Zoll)) und einer HDD statt dem Flash Speicher. Dazu eine Preissenkung auf 199 oder 249€.

Hätte aber eher dieses Jahr kommen sollen. Dieses Jahr zusammen mit einem echten Animal Crossing, hätte gerade in Japan noch mal einen guten Boost gebracht.
