Habe mir jetzt ein Asus T100 zugelegt, praktisch ein MS Surface in günstig. Das Ding ist perfekt für meine Bedürfnisse unterwegs, durch Bay tail CPU schän flott trotz Tablet mit Win8.1, 11h Akkulaufzeit und Office vorinstalliert. Habe mir gerade wie ein Kind an der Tür gefreut als DHL geklingelt hat

Da kannst du dir das Asus T100 mal anschauen, leichter als das iPad ( 4th ) und mir ~380€ mit docking Tastaur sehr günstig. Hält bei dem Preis aber natürlich nicht mit der Bildschirmauflösung eines iPads mit.

Ich bin grad am überlegen ob das für meine Eltern interessant sein könnte. Meine Mutter nutzt zur Zeit oft mein altes Netbook und ich war schon am überlegen ob ich mir mal was neues besorge.
War schon am überlegen ob ein Chromebook für sie vielleicht ganz gut wäre, aber das Surface RT ist bei dem Preis vielleichtd ie bessere Alternative, vor allem wegen den Vollversion von Office. Mehr als Office und Surfen tut sie ohnehin nicht.

Edit: Naja für den Schoß ist es ja leider gar nicht geeignet. Naja muss ich mich wieder ein bisschen mehr mit dem Chromebook auseinander setzen.

Das Angebot scheint wohl bundesweit ab morgen bei Saturn gültig zu sein.

Kleine Frage: Hat jemand sich ein Surface in der RT-Version zugelegt und kann einen PDF-Reader als App empfehlen? Eine Bibliothek-Übersicht wäre genial; ähnlich wie die iOS-App Kiosk von Apple.

In den USA gibt es das Surface 2 64GB-Modell bald mit 4G/LTE-Option. $679 wird als Preis genannt. Ob das Modell auch hierzulande erscheinen wird, steht bisher nicht fest.

As previously rumored, the device will be in the 8in class and will be ARM based, which means that Windows RT will be the OS powering the goods.

For starters, Dina Bass was able to dig around and find out that Qualcomm will be powering the device instead of Nvidia chips, like the Surface and Surface 2.

The device will have a cover available that will work as a stand but, like the touch and type covers, will be an available accessory to the device.

We knew that Microsoft was working to make the device note-taking friendly but sources are now saying that that OneNote will be baked deep into the platform. What this means is a bit unclear, but OneNote will be getting a prominent role with the tablet so look for it to be a focal point of the device.

But the one thing everyone wants to know is the release date and look for a June launch but the actual release date is still waffling around a bit.

The Surface event will include more devices than the Mini, and we are still digging around but will have more information about what to expect on this front soon.

Einige Hersteller verbauen irgendwelche Hardware (CPU, GPU), wo man sich denkt, wie machen die das?! Aber nicht selten ist es dann so, dass man irgendwelche abgespeckten Teile hat, oder die Leistung von Grund auf extrem gedrosselt ist oder bei Auslastung wird!

Das ist logischerweise kein Desktop i7, die haben 45Watt. Wird einer der mobilen 15 Watt i7 sein mit 2 Cores.

Ich würde mir vermutlich auch ein Surface kaufen, wenn ich ein Tablet brauchen würde. Die Dinger machen einen guten Eindruck. Würde es aber auch fast ausschließlich nur fürs Arbeiten oder Lernen benutzen.

Schon klar. Ändert nix daran, dass MS und Intel es hier gedchafft haben den kleinsten i7 aller Zeiten zu verbauen, was sicher eindrucksvoll ist. Ich persönlich brauch aber keinen derart leistungsstarken Prozessor in einem Tablet. Mir persönlich würde ein i3 völlig ausreichen.
