Nochmal ein paar Aussagen über die E3 2009^^
Iwata nach der E3 2008: "If there is any perception that Nintendo is ignoring the core gamers, it's a misunderstanding and we really want to get rid of that misunderstanding by any means. We are sorry about [the E3] media briefings, specifically for those who were expecting to see Nintendo show something about 'Super Mario' or 'Legend of Zelda.'
"However, the fact of the matter is the so-called 'big titles' need a long, long development period," Iwata continued. "We really didn't think this year's E3 media briefing was the time to do so."
Iwata vor der E3 2009: What we are looking at are the cumulative Wii and DS sales through the end of 2008. Wii has been selling at industry’s record pace so far, and with new customers acquired by the gaming population expansion efforts, it is not impossible for Wii’s total sales to exceed the final install base of PS2. Wii still has much more room for expansion. We can expect more sales of software in the next fiscal year than in the current year. With what kind of software is Nintendo going to achieve this goal? Well, it will be shown at E3 to be held in the U.S. this June.
Reggie über die E3 2009: "We haven't announced a launch date [for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks], maybe we'll do that at E3. You know, everyone wants to know what we're going to announce at E3 and my answer is, come to E3 and you'll see...," teases the big cheese."From Nintendo's perspective, we always go into E3 with a very high bar wanting to satisfy not only the core fans but also ourselves. We're hoping to do a much better job this year. You'll have to see for yourself."
Reggie vor kurzem: ....saying Nintendo has a number of important new games incoming for both Wii and DS to boost hardware figures.
According to Reuters, Reggie is "confident that we’ll continue to see very strong hardware sales behind those launch titles".
Cammy: "I’m going to be up on stage presenting, something that your fans ought to love. But I’m not gonna snowboard, I’m not gonna show my mother’s day card. I’m just going to talk about the games."
Gamestop CEO Dan DeMatteo: “We think there will be a Nintendo key property coming out by the end of the year,” he said.
“They haven’t given us any insight, but they have told us to reserve [shelf] space.”
