Introducing CD Projekt RED Wrocław

Located in the city of Wrocław, south-western Poland, the new studio will join forces with CD Projekt RED Warsaw and Cracow, and bolster development of Cyberpunk 2077 — the upcoming futuristic AAA role-playing game.

“Wrocław is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced cities in Poland and a playing field for serious creative talent. I think the scope of our current and future projects, as well as the overall package we’re bringing in, will pull in people who were hesitant to move to Warsaw or Cracow.” — says Adam Kiciński, President and Joint CEO, CD Projekt Capital Group. “The founding dev team of CDPR Wrocław is already pretty stellar, but I still can’t wait to see what talents we’ll discover in new people along the way.” — Kiciński adds.

Consisting of 18 talented industry veterans, Wrocław-based developer, Strange New Things, will form the core of the new studio.

“We’re pretty hyped to be on the spearhead of this new office.” — says Paweł Zawodny, Head of Studio, CD Projekt RED Wrocław. “We know Wrocław inside out and it’s an amazing place to make games. The team is strong, and I’m sure we have both the experience and the creative firepower to make Cyberpunk 2077 an even better game.” — Zawodny adds.

“Aside from their immense technological knowledge and artistic flair, the core team of CD Projekt RED Wrocław are just great people.” — says Adam Badowski, Game Director for Cyberpunk 2077 and Head of CD Projekt RED. “CD Projekt RED is not a typical game developer — we put gamers, creative freedom and quality games above making business. These guys not only share this approach, but, much like the rest of the team, think that this attitude is essential to creating epic video games.” — Badowski adds.

Kann jemand das kurz auf Deutsch schreiben? Wovon ist die Rede denn hier? P.S.

Und inzwischen wurde The Witcher 3, Hearts Of Stone, Gwent Free Version und Blood and Wine veröffentlicht. Also Cdpr ist voll beschäftigt;)

A new Ubisoft studio is coming to Winnipeg, Manitoba, joining the Ubisoft Canadian Studios collective of AAA development teams in Montreal, Quebec City, Saguenay, and Toronto. The studio will play a key role as a co-development studio, supporting popular franchises including Assassin's Creed and Far Cry by developing tools and technology to enable teams to create immersive and engaging open worlds for players.

Cliff Bleszinski's Statement

As of today, Boss Key Productions is effectively no more.

Four years ago I set out to make a world class video game studio and I hired some of the best talent in the video game industry. They worked tirelessly to produce quality products and, while we had our ups and downs, I’d like to think we had fun doing it. LawBreakers was a great game that unfortunately failed to gain traction, and, in a last ditch attempt we scrambled to do our take on the huge battle royale genre with Radical Heights, which was well received, however, it was too little too late.

As for myself, I’m going to take some time off and reflect. I need to focus on myself and family as well as my Aussie, Teddy, who is slowly fading from us. Video games will forever be a part of who I am and I hope to make something new again someday, however, I need to withdraw and take this time.

To those of you who have supported myself and the studio these last four years, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and everyone who came to work for me.

Please note that the servers for Radical Heights will remain up for the near future.

Thanks again, Cliff

People Can Fly Opens Two new Studios in the UK and Poland

People Can Fly is happy to announce the expansion of its development teams, with the opening of two new studios; People Can Fly UK based in Newcastle, UK and second studio in Poland, People Can Fly Rzeszow.

Opened in September 2017, the Newcastle studio aims to bring UK expertise into the team, with former Ubisoft staff and veteran developers bringing a wealth of knowledge to the studio.

A popular and vibrant city, Newcastle is the northern hub of video games development in the UK, with other AAA studios such as Ubisoft Reflections and Sumo, a wide range of indie developers, and local Universities such as Teesside, Newcastle and Northumbria hosting a variety of top flight games courses.

Working alongside the main PCF Warsaw studio and PCF UK is the recently opened Rzeszów studio with around 30 developers that worked on Sniper: Ghost Warrior frenchise.

Rzeszow is a growing gaming hub in the southern part of Poland, with many game studios, technical universities that offer gaming and VR courses, and a strong community of gaming enthusiasts.

Since People Can Fly became an independent studio again, our ambition has been to build a team of talented and experienced developers that can develop the best AAA games. We decided in 2017 to open a new studio in Newcastle, the UK, to attract not only local talent, but also to attract the best developers within the UK. We want this team to grow to 20-30 developers within the next 12-18 months. When CI Games decided to restructure its operations, we immediately decided to open a new studio in Rzeszów to allow those great developers to keep on working together as a team, and to contribute to the game we’re working on. Our intention is to give both new studios, in Newcastle and in Rzeszów, the opportunity to work on features or part of the game independently from the Warsaw team – says Sebastian Wojciechowski, CEO, People Can Fly.

All three studios and over 150 developers are currently working on a new IP, a AAA shooter developed alongside Square Enix.

People Can Fly are currently hiring for a variety of roles, in all locations. For more information and to view all available positions, please go to the website: peoplecanfly.com/career

2K and Hangar 13 Expand Global Development Team with New Location in Brighton, UK

2K and Hangar 13 – the critically acclaimed storytellers and developer of Mafia III – today announced the expansion of Hangar 13 in Brighton, United Kingdom, furthering the studio’s efforts to tap into the world’s most talented development pools and build a globally diverse team. This new office will be headed by UK game development veteran Nick Baynes, and will collaborate with the teams in Novato, CA and Czech Republic across all aspects of development on all future Hangar 13 projects.

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Nick and the Brighton team into our growing Hangar 13 family,” said Haden Blackman, global studio head of Hangar 13. “The new office allows us to tap into the rich game development talent pool throughout the United Kingdom and Europe and will lead to better, more diverse games that resonate with the widest possible audience.”

Baynes, general manager of the Brighton office, brings 25-years of game development and studio management experience to Hangar 13. Many of those years were spent at Black Rock Studio as the game director on Split/Second, working alongside other colleagues who have since joined Hangar 13, including Novato-based Vice President of Development, Andy Wilson. As a resident of Brighton for more than 17 years, Baynes is intimately familiar with the game development scene in the South East UK and will bring that knowledge to bear as he begins recruiting for the new office.

“The UK has some of the most talented game developers in the world and I couldn’t be more excited to work with Andy again to build a world class team in Brighton and help forge the future of Hangar 13,” says Nick Baynes, general manager of Hangar 13’s office in Brighton. “If you’re an experienced game developer looking to join a passionate AAA studio, we want to hear from you.”

Hangar 13 is currently working on an unannounced AAA project for 2K and will continue to scale in both the U.S. and Europe at a pace consistent with the development of the game. For more information about Hangar 13, or to apply to work for the studio in the U.S., UK, or Czech Republic, please visit hangar13games.com.
