Diese gabs noch nie. Simpsons hatten schon immer Familiy Guy Niveau.

The Simpsons renewed for two more seasons: Homer will outlast Jon Stewart and McDreamy

Fox announced today (May 4) that Springfield's favorite yellow family will continue with all-new episodes through season 28. This two-season pick-up from Fox will bring the series to at least episode 625.

The Simpsons will return with a shock in the fall as Marge files for divorce from Homer because he begins a romance with a beautiful young pharmacist named Candace.

The Simpsons loses Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, and Principal Skinner as Harry Shearer quits
The Verge.

Harry Shearer, the voice of Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner, Otto, Smithers, and many more on The Simpsons, has apparently left the show. Shearer used Twitter to indicate that he wouldn't be returning in upcoming seasons of the long, long-running cartoon, suggesting that his desire to work on other projects was the reason for the decision.

...

TMZ claims the move may have something to do with merchandising payments, but one thing's for sure: with his departure The Simpsons loses some of its biggest, best, and most memorable characters.

Er will u.a. weiter an seiner Karriere als Theaterschauspieler arbeiten.

Shearer has revealed to CNN there is still time for him to remain part of the cast, but only if producers enable him to do other work.

Reiterating what he said in his tweets, Shearer told the site: "In last four years, I've created and starred in a UK TV series and starred on London stage. Not stopping."

When asked whether he could still continue on the show, he answered: "I think that's a question better posed to them."

For now, it seems like negotiations are ongoing but Shearer's decision to push them into the public domain is his way of playing hardball. For more on the story as it develops, stick with IGN, and continue reading below for the original news.
