Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in software development

As the senior EE in the team, you will be responsible for all aspects of product-level hardware engineering related to product design. You will work with other in-house and contract engineers

Qualified candidates
must have track record in designing and developing high volume consumer electronics products, from concept to manufacturing, Candidates should have a broad understanding of PC or game console architecture, extensive knowledge of hardware product development processes and quality requirements of consumer electronic products, good knowledge on hardware testing, and familiar with high volume manufacturing process and test.
As a senior member of the team, a successful candidate has effective written and oral communication skills, well-developed cross-organizational and project management skills, and excellent technical design knowledge.
Responsibilities include
Lead hardware system architecture while working with a cross functional team
to achieve optimal balance of project priorities relative to performance, extensibility, development cost, and product cost with focus on building robust, scalable solutions.
Hardware selection and implementation (make vs. buy, microprocessor and DSP processor selection, custom ASICs, etc.)
Firmware design and analysis
Circuit design and analysis
Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated hardware engineering experience with microprocessor based systems and the ability to move from high level vision, to design implementation
Experience designing high volume consumer products including integration of hardware and firmware with computer interaction.
Demonstrated experience in integrating with cross functional groups including ID, marketing, planning and user research.
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated competencies in customer focused innovation, technical excellence, strategic insight, impact and influence across a product group or beyond, and passion for quality.
Knowledge and experience with standard communication protocols such as USB or Bluetooth preferred
BS in Electrical Engineering required and MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering preferred from a major university
Minimum 15 years experience in hardware development and contributed to 5 - 7 product development cycles
Must be enthusiastic, motivated and self driven
Position requires domestic and international travel
