We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to lead the end-to-end development of innovative hardware products and related ASICS. Our product line has included game controllers, wireless network adapters, microphones, cameras, memory devices, headsets, charging devices, and a variety of products used with the Xbox 360® game console. We are continuing to innovate and are seeking new leaders in this journey.
As a program manager, you are responsible for leading a cross-functional team of Electrical/Mechanical/Firmware/ASIC/Tooling Engineers, Test, Operations, etc. from initial concept to high volume production. At the same time, you are challenged to meet program goals for
product performance, quality goals, safety/compliance regulatory requirements, product cost, schedule, and development budget. You are also responsible for coordination with Product Management, Marketing, Usability Specialists, Industrial Designers, and Engineering to define the product, solidify the business case, and author the product specifications.
Given our multitude of design and manufacturing partners, you will participate with negotiations via our Account Managers, Business Development, and Legal.
Ideal candidates may have experience in managing development of high volume consumer products and multi-disciplinary team leadership, product definition/comprehension, development and execution of master program schedules,
program budget definition/management, management of product bill of materials, vendor and contract management, and high volume manufacturing.
You must have a strong desire, passion, and ability to understand consumer needs and a willingness to develop holistic product solutions that delight our customers and exceed their expectations.

Key Job Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Team leadership for cross functional product development team.

Requirements:
- BS/MS Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of experience for hardware products in a fast paced environment.

Mechanical Design Engineer Manager

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer Mgr who has a proven track record of leading high volume consumer products to technically manage the Mechanical development of innovative hardware products.
The qualified candidate will have the ability to successfully manage multiple Design Engineering teams through multiple product development programs simultaneously. The qualified candidate will provide strategic as well as tactical contributions to the conceptual and detailed design of a variety of entertainment devices and will be responsible for providing leadership to the Mechanical Design teams as well as the other disciplines associated with the productizing of consumer electronic products.
These products must be successfully managed using both internal and external contract design resources through the prototype, design validation, production and process validation phases.
The successful candidate should be considered as an expert in his or her technical field as well as having a proven track record of success regarding team leadership and motivation, business negotiations, program management, budgeting responsibilities and overall program ownership. The candidate must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the significance of time to market, risk mitigation, contingency plans, return on investment, etc.

Direct and recent experience in audio, video, and optical systems consumer electronic Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Engineering, thermal design and a successful history of working with Industrial Design and Marketing is a plus.
A general knowledge of Mechanical engineering methodologies and tools, Pro Engineer, tooling, File documentation protocol, Bill of Material Structuring and related file management tools is a requirement. The candidate must have actively participated in the Mechanical Management of design, documentation and qualification of a consumer electronics product within the last year. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in consumer electronics mechanical design with a minimum of 5 of those years as a manager. Demonstration of the ability to manage multiple design activities and development schedules is required. The candidate must be willing and able to travel to support design and manufacturing activities. Some of this travel may be non-domestic and extended. Experience managing and interacting with non-domestic suppliers and development partners is preferred.

Ten years of mechanical product development experience, with at least five years designing mechanical systems for high-volume consumer electronic devices.

Sr Reliability Engineer Job
This position is located in
Shenzhen, China, and would require relocation.
We are currently looking for a creative and talented individual with a passion for t
echnology to drive reliability and qualification of hardware products to meet and exceed our consumers' durability expectations. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be development and implementation of
methodologies and techniques to enhance product reliability. The candidate will be required to analyze and verify engineering design concepts of
electro and opto-mechanical products using simulation and test tools. He/she will be expected to propose design improvement based on analyses results.
The candidate should have experience in using Physics-of-Failure based approach to develop and implement accelerated tests to mitigate risks and qualify engineering designs during product development. The individual should be able to use
knowledge of product design and manufacturing to develop Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Candidate should be able to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate product (mechanical and thermal) functional performance as well as address overstress and fatigue-related durability problems. He/she is expected to be familiar with using acceleration models for common failure mechanisms in electronic products to estimate product service life. Candidate should be capable of applying Design of Experiments (DOE) concepts to develop test plans to improve product robustness and performance. Knowledge of statistical techniques and models is required to analyze test data and estimate product life cycle performance.
The candidate will use
knowledge of electronic package design as well as qualification methodologies for silicon and packages to support qualification of ASICs developed internally at Microsoft or in conjunction with partners. At the component level, the individual will work with other functional disciplines to develop specifications for discrete components used in
PCB assembly. He/she will participate in component vendor selection activity and will be responsible for component qualification activity for components that are critical to Microsoft product requirements. The candidate will be expected to use knowledge of process capability for electronic component production as well as system-level performance requirements to establish critical to quality performance metrics.
Person in this role will be responsible for facilitating decisions for low cost part procurement strategies while maintaining component performance standards and minimize reliability risk.
Candidate will be responsible to interface with manufacturing partners and component suppliers to develop strategy for qualification and standardizing methodologies and processes. Candidate will be responsible for monitoring product performance in the field and will

Fazit: Es werden mehr und mehr Stellen gesucht, bei denen die Herstellung eine große Rolle spielt. Zudem taucht erneut ein „Reliability Engineer“ auf (nur einer ist aufgeführt, ein anderer findet sich in den Quellen). Hier wird die XBox zwar nicht erwähnt, man sucht diese Stelle jedoch in der IEB („Interactive Entertainment Business“) – Division von MS, die sich v.a. um die 360 kümmert.
