Dead or Alive 5 Combo Footage Featuring Hayabusa, Christie And Hitomi

Here are the latest comments from director, Yohei Sihmbori, about the game as of this footage:

“Some of the balance is still kind of iffy, but we tried our best. I was told we could only use characters that we’ve announced already, so this is it for now. Hayabusa has some non-combo stuff too. If you just watch combo videos, then you’ll notice a difference between characters that are good with combos and those that aren’t.

“But DOA5 isn’t just about combos. It’s about the number of followups, types of followups, how safe you are after guard, how fast a move’s startup is, reach, OHs, specific holds, Criticals, hold damage, throw damage, and on and on. It’s about bringing those out in each character in a different way, and making each character unique.

“You have to play to really understand this, though. I wish more people could get their hands on the game before launch, but at least we can put out these videos and a few lucky people can try the game out at special events.”

Shimbori’s comment makes it sound like there are still characters to be revealed for the game. Dead or Alive 5 will be released on September 25th in North America.

ich hole die xbox version da ich die anderen DoA teile auch auf der box habe. außer es würde eine DoA collection 1-4 für ps3 kommen.

Ich hole es für die Box. Meine letzten Erfahrungen mit der PS3 und Fighting Games waren doch eher enttäuschend.

Neues Cover ist Scheiße.
Da ich eh die SE hole, soll es mich nicht stören, dass die Entwickler nun doch wieder dem Genre-Einheitsbrei folgen.

Nach 7 langen langen Jahren endlich ein Sequel. Und es sieht bis jetzt einfach nur super aus.

Bin ja mal gespannt, ob sich der Bikini-Trend jetzt im Fighting-Genre als Standard etabliert. DoaU hat angefangen, Soul Calibur hat den Creator (mit Bikini-Optionen) und nun haben auch Virtua Fighter und Tekken Bikinis für alle. Das ist eine interessante Entwicklung. Ob die Marktforscher wohl festgestellt haben, dass sich sowas in den Verkaufszahlen niederschlägt?

Ne andere Sache die mir auffällt. Die meisten der Arenen scheinen diesmal um einiges liebloser und kompakter gestaltet.

Dead or Alive 5 Collector’s Edition Swimsuits Revealed

Pre-ordering Dead or Alive 5 at GameStop or Amazon will get you white “angels” or black “devils” swimsuits for three of the game’s characters. However, if you want the entire set of “premium” swimsuits for the game’s full cast of female characters, you’ll need to buy the Dead or Alive 5 collector’s edition.

Dead or Alive 5 will be released in North America on September 25th and in Europe on September 28th. Tecmo Koei showed some of the exclusive collector’s edition swimsuits off this morning, and you can view them above and below:
