Through God's grace and sheer luck, I survived everything this OP threw at me. After burning through 4500 rounds of M60 ammo, 7 mags of .45 ACP from my 1911, 50+ frag grenades looted, scavenged and "tactically acquired" with me switching over to an XM177 I stole from the Huey, and another 15 mags later, I was on the boat back to base. Beaten and bleeding, but alive. It felt like I survived Hell itself. And that is what a Vietnam OP should be like. I was one of the lucky few to survive by a tooth and nail difference many of the ambushes, traps and events that unfolded throughout the OP, and I have nothing but words of praise for the ZEUS team, despite what others who were not so fortunate might say. At many points we were stuck outnumbered, outgunned and outnumbered to the point where a 360 perimeter felt like a 720 one, but goddamn, was it enjoyable. God gives his biggest guns to his most retarded warriors, and this mission showed that perfectly.
