Haben die bei der 8.1 Installation von Disc etwa die Upgrade-Option gestrichen? Weil zumindest bei allen NT-basierten Windows seit 2000 konnte man beim Starten von Disc immer auswählen ob man eine Neuinstallation oder ein Upgrade durchführen möchte, bei dem dann alle Daten erhalten bleiben. Das müsste dann einem Update via App Store gleich kommen.

Das weiß ich nicht, weil ich kein Win8 oder 8.1 habe. Ich steig erst von Win7 auf Win10 um. Da es kostenlos sein wird :v:

Da werde ich dann das Windows neuaufsetzen! Ich hab meine HDD auf eine SSD migriert und da ich noch heuer das Mainboard und CPU tausche, habe ich kein Neuinstallation durchgeführt. Wird dann alles in einem Zug gemacht.

Zumindest laut einigen Screenshots scheint die Option noch drin zu sein. Aber genau sagen kann ich es auch nicht. Habe zwar einen Windows 8-Key (war beim Laptop dabei), das System ist aber kurze Zeit später gewichen.

Ob ich mir Win 10 hole, weiß ich noch nicht. Wenn der Key danach wirklich nicht mehr für 7 genutzt werden kann, teste ich wohl erst in einer VM. Habe keine Lust, meine teuer gekauften Lizenzen zu "schrotten".

die eingabe des alten keys (win7 oder 8.1) ist so in der art wie ein gutschein oder promotion code. wahrscheinlich wird der alte eh weiterhin funktionieren. das kann man erst wissen, wenn es soweit ist.

Du verwechselst das wahrscheinlich mit "Auffrischen". Beim Auffrischen wird das Betriebssystem wieder auf den ursprünglichen Zustand zurückgesetzt, und die Dateien bleiben erhalten.

Das Zurücksetzen ist was anderes: Beim Zurücksetzen geschieht genau das, was geschieht wenn du deinen PC neu aufsetzt. Man kann zum Beispiel auch die HD formatieren lassen.

Ich bleibe weiterhin bei Office 2010. Hatte mal Visio 2013 verwendet. Da wurde ja unfreiwillig dermaßen viel Mist mitinstalliert. Kann ich darauf verzichten.

Excel erkennt scheinbar dass du in Category das einträgst, was in Data zwischen den Bindestrichen steht und bietet dir an, das für die ganze Spalte automatisch zu übernehmen.

Excel erkennt automatisch Muster in den Spalten, und schlägt eine Autovervollständigung vor.
Aus einer Spalte mit der Zeile "x.908.Müller.1983" und daneben einer Spalte in der "Stefan" steht kannst du eine neue Spalte namens "S. Müller, 83" machen, und Excel erkennt alle deine gewünschten Formatierungen von Quell und Zielfeld und wendet das auf alle Zeilen der Spalte an.

Die erste Zeile musste du ja sowieso korrekt so ausfüllen wie es ein soll. Wenn du in der zweiten Zeile dann anfängst die auch richtig auszufüllen, und excel erkannt hat was du machst, zeigt es dir die vorschläge für die gesamte spalte an. Mit Enter akzeptierst du das dann. Ansonsten nur die erste Zeile füllen und dann unter Daten auf Blitzvorschau klicken. Ich hab das längst als wichtigsten Hotkey auf der Tastatur.
Falls excel nicht rafft was du willst, kannst du noch mehr Zeilen ausfüllen, damit excel genauer einschätzen kann was du willst.

So wie ich die Meldung verstanden habe, kann man im ersten Jahr nach Release auf einem Gerät mit z.B. Win7 umsonst auf Win10 upgraden. Du bekommst allerdings keinen W10-Key, kannst dann also keine W10-Neuinstallation auf diesem oder einem anderem System vornehmen. Wenn man also nach dem ersten Jahr sein System neu aufsetzt, muss man Win7 installieren und dann das Upgrade auf W10 kaufen.

January build now available to the Windows Insider Program​

Users can head to windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-download to grab the download now. The update is also now available through the updating process for existing users. Unfortunately, things like the new Touch Office suite and Project Spartan web browser will not be in this update. Instead, they arrive in the coming months through the Insider program.

Windows 10 January Technical Preview (Major New Features)

- Xbox App – View your friend's activity, post to timeline, watch game DVR videos and more ( Xbox One to PC streaming is coming in a later update to the app)
- Cortana – Cortana is now built into Windows 10 search and syncs to Cortana on your Windows Phone
- Action Center – Gone is the Charms bar, and instead the Action Center now houses notifications, Quick Action keys, and settings
- New Universal Apps – People, Outlook, Photos, and Maps are all overhauled with new features and designs
- New Icons and design – Many elements of the OS, including Settings have had a makeover to match Modern 2.0 design
- New smart snap mode – When snapping an app, a list of currently running apps will appear in the space next to it, as the system assumes you will want to snap a second app
- Continuum – Users can now dynamically switch between Tablet and PC mode with a touch of a button, making apps full-screen (tablet) or windowed (PC). Devices like the Surface Pro 3 should do this automatically with the addition or removal of the keyboard

Some known problems

Here is a list of a few issues with Build 9926. As with the last builds, we may release updates to fix some of the most prevalent issues and others may be fixed in subsequent builds.

- After installing this build, you may see a boot selection menu each time you reboot your PC. This is because a bug where a second boot option is persisted to uninstall the Windows 10 Technical Preview and roll back to the previous OS installed. When you get to this screen, if you do nothing it will automatically boot to the Windows 10 Technical Preview within 30 seconds by default or you can choose it on your own. Don’t worry, this behavior is only temporary.
- Xbox Live enabled games that require sign-in will not launch correctly. If you see the below dialog box the game requires Xbox Live sign-in. A fix for this will be distributed via WU shortly after the release of Build 9926.
- Battery icon shows on lock screen of PCs without batteries.
- Tiles on the Start menu show truncated app names (such as the Windows Feedback app).
- Remote Desktop has some painting issues that result in tiled pixelation.
- Connected Standby enabled devices like Surface Pro 3 may experience shorter than expected battery life.
- In Cortana, reminders can’t be edited and more complex reminders might not get created. The first reminder you create in Cortana in this build might not pop up, but subsequent ones will. Completed reminders also don’t move to the History page in Cortana’s Notebook.
- The Music app will disappear if minimized within 16 seconds of launch. Just leave it in the foreground for 20 seconds or so and it should work just fine.
- Occasionally, the Start Menu is improperly registered and will fail to launch.
