Ja, das finde ich auch sehr verdächtig. Insofern sollte man hier nichts glauben.
In order to placate the minds of would-be purchasers, Nintendo has released a statement defending their action to change the plot beats of optional side quests:
Based on feedback received after Bravely Second: End Layer’s release in Japan, the development team at Square Enix, in conjunction with Silicon Studio, decided to implement a number of revisions to the game for the purpose of improving its quality and creating a more enjoyable product.
One such change affects the game’s optional side quests, where players encounter a conflict between two opposing parties and choose which party to side with.
When the game was released in Japan, each side quest would end with the team lamenting the decision they made, regardless of the player’s decision. This was intended to help players empathise with the characters’ situation, but overwhelming feedback from players indicated that they felt an unsatisfying disconnect between their intentions and the characters’ reactions. In response, these side quest endings were amended to show the party readily coming to terms with their actions in a manner that does not cause the player undue regret for their decisions.
These changes do not affect the gameplay or the course of events in the game, and were made with the intention of improving the game experience for players.
If you plan to purchase PlayStation VR, but never cared to buy the PlayStation Camera or PlayStation Move, Sony Computer Entertainment announced a Launch Bundle.
Sony’s virtual reality big box comes with two PlayStation Move Controllers, a PlayStation Camera, and a retail copy of PlayStation VR Worlds by SCE London Studio.
The price is a quite reasonable $499.99, while Canadians as usual get shafted with$699.99.
On Wednesday, we learned that Tom Clancy’s The Division sold over 80,000 copies on PS4 in Japan, according to Media Create. Unfortunately, the Xbox One version did not make the top 20 chart. So we did not know precisely how it did, until today.
Media Create released its top 50 ranking, and the Xbox One version of the game did not manage to make even that. We still learn how much it sold, though, as Media Create shared that about 1,000 copies of the game for Microsoft’s console found a loving Japanese home.
That’s not too surprising, considering that the total installed base of the console is currently sitting at 65,603 in the whole country.
On the other end of the spectrum, we also learn that the PS4 version sold 85.5% of its initial shipment, which is a very flattering result in Japan for a western game. In comparison, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege sold only 23,000 copies in its first week on the shelves in Japan, and 87,000 in total so far.
Earlier today we noted how Nintendo’s first mobile game Miitomo has went live in Japan. The free-to-play title, based on gameplay footage, seems to merge elements of Tomadochi Life, Animal Crossing, and Wii “Everybody Votes” Channel. It has been noted since the get-go that Miitomo would support microtransactions, but how exactly would this work and what would the denominations be?
According to Dr. Serkan Toto, a Tokyo-based game industry analyst, the pricing structure ranging from ¥120 ($1.08) to a whopping ¥8,800 ($79.38) in microtransactions.

Sony is currently planning a new version of the PS4 with increased graphical power and games running at 4K resolution, developer sources tell Kotaku.
We don’t know whether current PS4 owners will be able to upgrade or if they’ll have to buy an entirely new device to benefit from this power boost, but from what we hear, Sony has started briefing developers.
Based on conversations with developers who have spoken with Sony, this ‘PS4.5’ will include an upgraded GPU both to support high-end 4K resolution for games and add more processing power that can enhance the games supported by PlayStation VR, the headset Sony will launch this fall. It’s unclear if ‘PS4.5’ is an official name or just a nickname that developers have been using. One developer jokingly called it the ‘PS4K’ while telling me about the device.
In layman’s terms, 4K resolution is around twice the pixel size of 1080p, which is the current standard for games on PlayStation 4 and competing consoles. The current PS4 can output 4K photos and videos, but cannot support 4K resolutions for games. With this upgrade, it would. Besides resolution, developers would have an opportunity to push more effects and other graphical tweaks to make their games look better, thanks to the new GPU.
Klingt unglaubwürdig.
