-Basically Smash 4.5
-Most moves have huge knockback, realllllly far into the bubble blast zone to die
-Bayo worse but still has her combos
-Ness good, Snake busted
-Ridley busted
-“wave dash landing”
-no Mario dthrow utilt
-bowser can’t up b off platforms, bowser side b has landing lag
-bowser up b requires mash
-rage seems to be in
-Ganon uses sword for smash attacks, better recovery, amazing uair
-you can do ANYTHING out of dash now
-pika down air SPIKES
-fox shorten hits you
-no shine stall
-sheik “almost identical” to smash 4
-“snake feels like brawl”
-inkling godlike dash dance, turns into ink
-everyone has great dash dance
-perfect pivoting is gone
-dashing better in general
-most “cancels” are gone
-no more Bayo dive kick cancel
-If inkling sprays the floor, the more ink she has the faster she moves, the higher her up B, etc kind of like fully charged cloud limit. She has MELEE dash dancing if so and if you shoot the opponent, she moves faster and opponent moves slower
-CLOUD LIMIT DISAPPEARS IN 15 SECONDS IF YOU DONT USE IT
-Marth side b is super quick but you can’t space out hits in between
-Samus bombs are back to proximity in Melee, rather than timed bombs
-Doc has ganon down air
noch ein paar Infos von Nintendudes Twitter:
- ICs have no wobbling and no handoffs! Nana isn't actionable during a grab. In fact, she can't grab at all (pressing grab makes only Popo grab). If you throw someone, Nana taunts
- You can shield drop in Smash Ultimate. Not sure if it's useful but worth noting I guess.
- Smash Ultimate seems to have "auto l-canceling" meaning aerial landing lag across the board seems to be the same as l-canceled aerials in Melee. Most noticeable with Link's Dair.
- Link's sword shoots a beam when he's at 0% just like in the old Zelda games
- Not sure if this has been reported, but you can't run through opponents. You just push them indefinitely. Probably changes neutral a lot since you can't cross up as freely.
