Suikoden Tierkreis confirmed for March 13
Konami has today announced that its epic role-playing title, Suikoden Tierkreis, is to be released across Europe for Nintendo DS on March 13, 2009.
In the game the player is cast as a young villager called Hero, a member of the defence corps in Citro Village. With his childhood friends, Liu, Marica, Jale, and Dirk - the leader of the corps, Hero heads to the eastern hill on a routine patrol. On the way they come across a tower emitting a mysterious light, which when inspected changes their lives forever.
The game promises a mammoth game map, comprising of 50 fully-inhabited locations, including townships, villages and dungeon areas. The game world is also linked to others via mystical gateways, patrolled by a mysterious race known as the Wanderers.
These parallel worlds are called the Infinity, with players able to link their bespoke world to those of other Suikoden Tierkreis players using Wi-Fi or a local wireless connection. The link-up system will allow players to send characters to other worlds to receive quests from linked players, with extra items such as money offered as rewards.
It will be possible to interact with over 100 allies, each with their own beliefs and able to be recruited to Hero's main quest. Hero will be able to recruit up to three allies at any one time and will need to change those around him to best deal with the challenge presented by each quest.
