Do NOT buy "The Stomping Land"
It's strange that I haven't seen any outrage over this game
Basically, a game that was successfully kickstarted called The Stomping Land that promised a sort of DayZ with dinosaurs approach. A year after being kickstarted, the game comes out in steam's early access. Ignoring the morality and legality of having features shown off in an "Early access trailer" not actually being in the game without a disclosure about the state the game is currently in, the game hasn't actually received any updates since launching months ago. The game, in it's current state is at the very minimum of playable. Buggy, FPS issues, and with barely any features that were promised and led to believe to be in the alpha. That's normal for an early access game, but the problem is this:
The devs have completely cut off contact with the community. The community manager would post that there was nothing new to report for a few weeks after the game came out, until his contract expired, was not renewed and he stopped posting. The lead dev and the rest of the dev team stopped posting on the forums and there hasn't been any contact since.
The game definitely had potential, but as of right now, the game is pretty much dead. It might get updated down the line but right now there's less than 100 people playing it at any given moment, even though it was a top seller on steam for a week or two when it came out.
tl:dr- Kickstarted and then Alpha Early Access game "The Stomping Land" has not been updated since launch and the devs have gone silent. Do not buy the game as it is in a rough and unfinished state.
