Splatoon Devs Reveal New Character Artwork And Weapon Shop Layout

The official Splatoon Twitter account has revealed a number of new characters over the past few weeks through artwork and screenshots. And today, the developers at Squid Research Lab have showcased Bukichi, a horseshoe crab in charge of the weapon shop within the game. Given he’s such a fan of military weapons, you’ll find him working away at The Camboulit Arms. Players will be able to purchase a variety of in-game weapons according to their skill levels. Make sure you check out the lovely artwork below, along with the translations from the development team. Splatoon is due to release for the Wii U in May 2015.

As a result of staying up late every night messing around with the small parts, he has developed extreme short-sightedness. That’s why you should do things in moderation…."

Although known for being polite to the point of being long-winded, it seems they don’t sell weapons to players that would put them out of balance. You’ll need fight lots of battles to get experience in order to gain favor with the shopkeeper so he will sell more weapons to you."

Hoffentlich wird es ewig dauern, bis man in dem shop alles gekauft hat Ich steh auf sowas. Mich nervt es auch an mario kart, dass man nach zwei stunden spielen schon fast alles freigeschalten hat.

Mich nervt es auch an mario kart, dass man nach zwei stunden spielen schon fast alles freigeschalten hat.

Das will ich sehen Allein für die GPs brauchst du ca. 4x 2Stunden. Und bis du dann die ganzen Fahrzeugteile freigespielt hast... phew.

Gerade da es bei MK wohl zufällig ist, was man freispielt. Hier hat man ja schon mal die Wahl, was besser ist XD Da ist mir dann auch egal, wie lange es dauert, bis ich alles hab. Ich kann ja auf das sparen, was ich gerne hätte :3

Die GPs sind doch schon freigeschalten wenn man die ersten vier Cups fährt? Ich meinte nur freischalten und nicht mit drei Sternen abschließen, das hat natürlich länger gedauert.
Bei den Fahrzeugteilen war 2 Stunden tatsächlich sehr untertrieben, es ging mir da aber auch noch zu schnell.
Smash Bros zum Beispiel find ich in der Hinsicht schon wieder zu extrem mit den Meilensteinen, da wohl ca. 95% aller Spieler niemals alles freischalten werden können.

Also ich werde auf jeden Fall in dieser "Stammgruppe" dabei sein. Bin zwar ein Shooter-Noob, aber das ist ja egal .

Dabei ist dieses MK so lahm .
@akakuroik Er hat schon recht. Die Cups habe ich in gut 3 Stunden geschafft mit ein paar Neustarts und damals war ich noch richtig mies. Das geht schon . und das man dann fast alles hat, stimmt schon .

Check this out! Squid fighters can take a set of three weapons into battle: a main weapon, a sub weapon, and a special weapon. Turf wars are considered a serious sport in the squid world, and as such, the weapon manufacturers are constantly competing to outdo one another with new innovations to help these athletes gain the upper hand…er, tentacle.

New report! We’ve just received intel on a sub weapon that appears to be some sort of ink shield. Activating it apparently blocks enemy attacks and progress for a short time. This is a great example of how sub weapons can be used not only for attacking purposes, but for defense and team support as well.

Breaking news! One of our interns just texted over this new image of one of the special weapons. Apparently when this thing is ready to use, if you tap a location on the GamePad, you’ll launch a missile to that spot, creating a veritable swirling maelstrom of ink when it hits. Apparently it’s not super difficult to dodge, but we’re hearing that there’s no finer way to scatter opponents and drive them back.

New intel just in! We’ve identified this shop as the place where squid fighters come for all of their headgear needs: hats, helmets, glasses, goggles…you name it! Sounds like this is definitely the place to visit if you want to get ahead of your competition.

New report! We’ve learned that headgear, clothing, and shoes all have different attributes that benefit those who wear them into battle. For example,this item comes equipped with “Ink Saver (Main),” which cuts down on the ink needed to fire your main weapon. There are apparently a whole lot more perks like this!

Here comes a follow-up to the previous report!
Each piece of gear comes with one perk, but can gain new ones the more it’s used. Each item also contains one top-class perk, just waiting to be unlocked! I guess practice really does make perfect!

Splatoon Devs Reveal In-Game Clothing Shop And Additional Artwork

The official Splatoon Twitter account has showcased yet another in-game store for the upcoming Wii U game. The new clothing store will join the weapon and headgear stores unveiled last week to compete for your hard-earned battle money and, of course, will be owned by another peculiar-looking store clerk. According to translations, the clothing store named “Sas au Bon” will have a range of unisex t-shirts and tops with specific perks attached to pump up your characters fighting skills.

If you were hoping to purchase a full outfit, though, you’ll be hopelessly searching as store clerk Echizon refuses to stock bottom halves. Presumably it’s because he can’t wear them as a blue jellyfish – his tentacles need the room. Echizon’s unique speech pattern can make him difficult to understand, yet despite this he’s still a forward-thinker and fashion guru in the field. Das Spiel wird hauptsächlich wegen der Leidung gespielt ^^.
Sieht einfach herzig aus . Also mich hat es voll in seinem Bann .

Ich glaube auch, dass ich mir das Spiel kaufen werde. Bei Titanfall ist langsam, aber sicher die Luft raus und einen Shooter braucht man immer. Nicht dass ich TF mit Splatoon vergleichen würde... !

Ich hoffe auf eine nette Amiibo Implementierung. Mario Kostüme und Feuerink...
