Matt von IGN.com hält diese Daten für komplett falsch. Ein Mitarbeiter bei Factor 5 mit dem Namen Han Solo gibt es nach Angaben von Julian Eggebrecht (Präsident von Factor 5) nämlich nicht.

Codenames and Channels
Hey Matt, thanks for all the effort and hard work you put in to the site. You don't seem to get enough appreciation for it, so keep it up! (No, I'm not kissing your ass! But there may be the obligatory Fran-Goat comment later...)
Anywho, to my question... Reggie's comments on Friday's 'Nintendo Minute: Vol 18', to quote him "...Until then, you should go ahead and unveil a Revolution (still the code-name) IGN channel..." I am curious. With words like that, I am assuming that they may keep the name Revolution. Though, it is feasible to consider they he just doesn't understand cost, time and staffing spent on such an undertaking.
Ignoring those points though, what are your thoughts on what he said? Will you actually put up a Revolution channel with out knowing the final name? Will Reggie kick Fran-Goats ass and take his name?! Please, you must tell me!
Thanks Matt! -GeotheFaust
Matt responds: No, no -- Revolution is definitely just a codename. It beats the pants off of Dolphin, mind you, but nevertheless it's not a final title for Nintendo's next-generation system. We've been hearing forever that it's only a temporary label for the system and the fact that all Revolution logos and branding have been removed from more finalized hardware is further proof that it's going bye-bye soon. The company is undoubtedly mulling over a new name now and I'd be willing to wager that we'll know it by the end of the year.
Obviously, Reggie and crew would like us to launch a Revolution channel before then because we already have sites for both Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3. They'll get their wish before too long, hopefully. We can definitely do it, but it would be jumpin the gun a bit, especially since we'll have to redesign the main headers and such when we finally get the real name. Not a big deal, but some redundant work nevertheless. I'll tell you what -- it's going to be a hot looking channel. We're definitely going to go the Apple white and aqua blue route. Mac fans unite or something. No timing on when our Revolution channel is coming just yet, but maybe in the next couple of months if all goes well. Stay tuned.
Games
I was wondering, nintendo already unveil the revolution controller, right. How come there aren't games announced for the revolution yet since they already knew how the controller looks like?
Matt responds: Well, there are, actually. Nintendo announced that a sequel to Super Smash Bros. Melee is scheduled to launch on Revolution. Meanwhile, we know that Revolution sequels to Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Animal Crossing, and Metroid Prime are also underway, among others. The problem is that we haven't seen any of these games yet. But this is always the way the Big N works and I expect we've got a bit of a wait until we finely do see something on the software front. I hate to use the old cliché, but it's unavoidable: wait until E3 2006.
Black Free-hand-style Pointer?
Hey Matt, although I definitely think the white Apple-esque Revolution and controller look very slick, I'm considering getting the original black Revolution. Will it come with a black controller? I haven't seen any pics of a black controller.
Matt responds: The Revolution and its controller will be available in different colors, according to Nintendo. The company is emphasizing white nowadays, but I'm convinced that it will also offer black. It's a bit hard to tell whether the controller is grey or black in this official photo, but you get, uh, the picture.
What Does it Mean?
I was watching the Nintendo Revolution Controller preview movie the other day, and noticed something interesting near the end. When the guy turns off the Revolution, you get a quick glance at the TV he has, and lo and behold, it's a widescreen tv, presumably an HDTV compatible one.
Is Nintendo secretly suggesting something, or is it just a detail that doesn't matter.
Matt responds: Right. There's a widescreen, possibly high-definition television in all of the recently released official photos of the new controller, too. It may mean nothing. It's important to remember that Revolution will support 480p, which makes it compatible with 16x9 HD sets. That doesn't, however, confirm that the console will support high-definition resolutions. The official Nintendo word is that HD is not a priority with Revolution. That said, internal rumblings indicate that the Big N is still very much considering the option and some studios claim that 720p functionality is present in some Revolution documentation.

Matt responds: Sweet Jebus! If you're going to send me these long spec lists, at least have the courtesy to format them first. I mean, it took me like six minutes to properly list all of that crap! And for what? Just so that I could write that these specs are totally bogus and insanely inflated. Honestly, Revolution isn't going to be anywhere near that in terms of power and memory. I wish I could paste some of the cackles I got from industry folks when I showed them those crazy specs.
Oh well, at least that list filled up the mailbag section nicely -- and for that, I am thankful.
Oh, by the way, there seems to be an abundance of douchebags on the Internet who claim to have so-called leaked Revolution specs. Some joker calling himself 'Han Solo' alleges that he is an employee of Factor 5 and has specs for the system. As expected, he is a liar. Here's what F5 president Julian Eggebrecht has to say on the subject:
"Han Solo is a scoundrel, we all know that, but in this case he isn´t a very clever scoundrel. That so-called employee of ours posting on message boards under the Han Solo name certainly isn´t employed at Factor 5 or working in any way for us. He isn´t speaking for the company and he better change his story as to where he has his information from, or we will be forced to take legal action against him."
Incidentally, Mr. Solo's specs are likewise completely bogus. These people really seem to get a kick out of making up completely outlandish spec lists. I really want to get in on the fun. Let me try.
I have a friend who works for Camelot Software, and according to him, Revolution features 1 billion megabytes of embedded 1T-SRAM and its ATI-designed graphics chip runs both at 1.2 gigawatts and is simultaneously able to travel back to 1955 whenever it clocks speeds beyond 88 miles per hour. Spread the word!
