“No doubt. Truth be told, sales are dropping. The sales manager of Nintendo, Mr. Hatano, told us that this could be the last Fire Emblem. Due to this progressive descend on sales, they told us that if the sales of this episode stayed below 250,000 copies, we’d stop working on the saga. I remember when I came back from the meeting and told the team ‘My God, what are we gonna do?! The end has come!’. Our reaction was clear: if this was going to be the last Fire Emblem, we had to put everything we always wanted to include. That’s how this new project was born!”

Quelle.... ?
A while ago, The Pokémon Company and Tecmo Koei collaborated to make Pokémon Conquest, a strategy RPG crossover between the Pokémon and Nobunaga’s Ambition games. Now, the big question is—will we possibly ever see a sequel?
Inside-Games reports that Pokémon Conquest was actually a project that started before the 3DS existed, as it took three years for development to be completed. By the time the game was released, it was well after the generational jump from Nintendo DS to 3DS. It wasn’t a problem to the many DS owners out there, although many players do often like to see and play games on the latest available console.
Tecmo Koei Executive Vice President Hints At A Pokémon Conquest Sequel
To top it off, there were plenty of Pokémon that were missing from the game, such as the many which were seen in another title, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, that was also released in the later days of the Nintendo DS. Luckily, there may be a chance we’ll see a new game with some of these additions in the future.
Tecmo Koei’s new Executive Vice President, Hisashi Koinuma, who until recently served as director and producer for many Omega Force developed series, answered a fan question regarding a possible Pokémon Conquest sequel via Twitter. Koinuma hinted: “Well, there was a lot of unfinished material for Pokémon Conquest…”
According to Inside-games, the president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, is a huge fan of the Nobunaga’s Ambition series and wouldn’t rule out the possibility of seeing a sequel as long as there’s enough demand and enthusiasm from the fans.
