Eiichiro Oda’s ‘One Piece’ Enters Guinness World Records

The official Japanese website for One Piece and Oricon announced that One Piece has made its way to Guinness World Records. The description for the official certificate notes:

The most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author is One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda (Japan) with 320,866,000, copies printed and circulated from December 1997 to December 2014.

One Piece author Eiichiro Oda’s response on this achievement was:

Thank you for the Guinness World Records recognition. Though manga is a form of entertainment to pass time, I am very happy whenever I am told that fans made friends and met their significant other through One Piece. This numerical record demonstrates to me the possibility of just how many people could be connected. I will never forget the gratitude I feel toward the pioneers and supporters of the manga world, as well as my readers, and would like to continue creating work that wouldn’t shame this record.

On the same day, an official certificate ceremony was held in Tokyo and Yoshihisa Heishi, Weekly Shonen Jump‘s Editor-in-Chief, attended on Oda’s behalf. As he accepted the certificate, he expressed that he is very happy that One Piece has become a worldwide success in both name and substance.

Scheinbar erfährt man was es mit dem D auf sich hat oder zumindest mehr davon. Und MIngos Brille liegt zerstört am Boden. Der finale Schlag wird also getan. Da das das Ende des Kapitels ist wird man aber vorher noch sehen wie es dazu kam.

Chapter 790 Heaven and Earth

As Lucy returns, the crowd goes wild.
Doflamingo laughs at the theatrical entry and says he's barely standing.
But Luffy responds to him telling him so are you

Doflamingo takes the initiative, attacking Luffy with strings. He also sends some to Rebecca, but Law shambles her to safety.
Oh so there you are, says Dofla to Law, and tells him to sit there and watch.

He turns an entire segment of the town into strings with Ever White,
and converts them into a thousand "Flap Thread" string arrows.
He
attacks Luffy with the arrows (it looks like the arrows make up wings on
his arms, and he's flapping them together like a flamingo)


Luffy tries to hold off the attacks with CoA, but it proves too much for
him, and some of the arrows pierces, slamming Luffy into a wall.
Doflamingo laughs saying are you sure your haki is all there yet?

Flashback to Luffy's training

Rayleigh laughs at Luffy barely surviving an attack by a beast, and
asks him what happened to that Kong Gun that you were so proud of?
Luffy says the beast he fought earlier was even bigger, and his Kong Gun proved ineffective.
Rayleigh tells him Gear 4 wears down your body too much, he should come up with a better solution.

back to the fight

Dofla controls the beaten Luffy and makes him walk over to him.
He says everyone should have been content being manipulated, and all this slaughter would have been avoided
Luffy snaps hearing this, goes into Gear 4 and rips apart the strings controlling him

Dofla is surprised that his strings were easily cut, but he gathers Luffy is on his last strength.
He mocks Luffy for challenging him to an air fight.

Luffy yells at Dofla, that him wanting to control and manipulate everything in his palm makes this place suffocating
Dofla responds blame that on your blood, I am different from you trash humans.

He tries to capture Luffy with spider nest, but Luffy goes into Gear 3 while still in Gear 4, by blowing air into his arms.
Luffy readies his King Kong Gun, while Dofla tries to counter with God Thread. Powerful attack consisting of 16 holy threads.

But that proves ineffective against the King Kong Gun, which crushes the threads and Dofla along with it.

"There are those who say the Ds are the arch enemies of Gods...."

End of chapter.

Endlich das lang erwartete Ende des Kampfes :-).

Chapter verspricht episch zu werden, Zusammenfassung klingt sehr gut.

Chapter ist raus. Ich fands richtig gut. Doflamingo ist auch sehr angeschlagen wie Ruffy und will Rebecca noch töten aber Law rettet sie. Scheint mir so als hätte Mingo law dann gefunden. Das er alles in Fäden verwandelt war ein logischer Schritt und sehr mächtig, da kann selbst Ruffy sich in seinem Zustand nicht wehren. Finds auch schön das dieser nochmal von Parasite übernommen wurde. Er muss sich ja scheinbar nicht wie beim ersten Mal umbedingt in den Muskel beißen sondern kann es auch so um die Fäden abzuschütteln. Der Flashback zu Rayleigh war nett und schön. Der Abschluss mit der Kombi Gear 3 + Gear 4 war auch nicht schlecht und passend, die King Kong Gun hat es entschieden wie vermutet. Mingos Brille ist zerstört und sein Gesicht ist irgendwie komisch. Was nun die große Überraschung war, meinten wohl das mit dem D, das war aber quasi vorher bekannt das die Ds die Feinde Gottes sind.

Jedenfalls hält sich Mingo für einen. Bin echt gespannt ob er nächste Woche redet oder ob er noch stehen kann. Das seine brille kaputt ist bedeutet ja nicht zwangsläufig das Ende des Kampfes.

Bin nicht beeindruckt von dem Chapter. Eigentlich sind wir quasi genauso schlau wie zuvor.
 
Wie ich gedacht habe. Ist wie bei Crocodile und Enel. Die stärksten Attacken prallen aufeinander und Ruffy kann sich durchsetzen. Wurde aber echt cool umgesetzt und zeigt wie überlegen Ruffy Doflamingo in Gear 4 ist, bzw. wie stark Gear 4 ist. In dieser Form wird er vermutlich auch den Kaisern gegenübertreten, bzw, in verbesserter Form mit erweckter Teufelsfrucht etc.

Kiera, ich glaube Dofla wird nicht mehr aufstehen. Die Wucht der King Kong Gun war schon extrem und zudem hat Ruffy noch Zeit in Gear 4....ich glaube das war der Finale Schlag.

Chapter wirkte wirklich recht kurz. Aber weiß zu gefallen. Kann es kaum abwarten die Szene in animierter Form zu sehen. :)
Ich denke es wird vorbei sein. Law's Blick am Ende sagt alles.
 
Immer wenn vor einem finalen Schlag rückblenden kommen, oder persönliche Dinge, wie hier die MingoBrille kaputt gehen, ist ein Kampf vorbei! Also ist es fix...

Ja denke ich auch jetzt frag ich mich ob er stirbt wegen dem Gamma Knife. Fragt sich ob Ruffy wiede die volle zeit nun in Gear 4th sein kann aber muss er ja nicht. Burgess vs Sabo ist noch offen. Und es gab 2 Doppelseiten also so kurz war es auch nicht. Aber wenn das mit dem D wirklich die große Überraschung war dann wurde das mal wieder aufgebauscht. Egal Kampf ging super zu Ende, Mingo ist würdig abgetreten als imo zweit bester Gegner nach Enel :D
 
Keinerlei Überraschungen, alles wie erwartet zu Ende gegangen. Selbst die Brille von Dofla ist weg, also Kampf vorbei, ansonsten würde das Versprechen von Ruffy wegen "One Hit" auch nicht ziehen.
 
Mir hat das Chapter gefallen^^
Genialer finisher von Ruffy.

Cover gefällt mir auch, die Strohhüte scheinen länder darzustellen.

Ich denke so wird es sein, nur Chopper kann ich nicht zu ordnen.
