- the game starts on December 18th, 1980 with Kyle waking up inside his car to the sound of his pager. He hits the pay phone and calls up his boss, only to find out that he's fired and will soon be evicted.
- Kyle is looking for the "Red Star" a mysterious item that is being sought after by an anonymous person
- the Red Star is hidden with Cape West, a apartment building set to be demolished
- Kyle soon finds out that this building could be tied to his father's death

- take conversations in the wrong direction too many times, and you'll end up kicked out of Cape West
