To nintenja (with a star that I dont know how to make),
Thanks a lot for the cool comments, I appreciate it. I have not yet played RE: Umbrella Chronicles, but have seen it and can say that in a time where many developers are just porting GCN/PS2 games, etc. to Wii and other developers are just not quite putting much effort into making original titles look as good as they can, Capcom is saying were not those guys. This game has better visuals than Resident Evil 4 (and it should), and I think itll do more for Wii than RE4 did for GameCube.
You see, as great looking and as great of a game that it was, it came out over 3 years after GCN launched. This time around, well see a title that I hope ends up being as high of calibur, approximately one year after the consoles launch. This will help broaden Wiis userbase, show that M Rated games can sell well, show that the Wii Remote and Nunchuck can work well for Action/Horror titles, and prove that Wii is capable of producing visuals that are still impressive when compared to what Xbox 360 and PS3 are doing.
So long story short, to answer your question, yes, I think its a Wii Gen Effort.
