Also ich find der Wunsch nach neuen IPs hat nix mit Hyperei zu tun, das erwarte ich eigentlich auch von MS.
Und der Wunsch danach ältere Franchises wiederzubeleben eigentlich auch nicht. Man muss halt realistisch sein. Aber ein PGR5 sollte eigentlich schon drinnen sein.Und sollte nicht irgendwann auch mal Perfect Dark 2 kommen?

After development concluded on High Road to Revenge, the developers moved to work on another Crimson Skies title for Microsoft; development, however, was cancelled shortly into the project.[4] When FASA Studio was later shut down, Microsoft retained the video game rights to Crimson Skies, although it had no immediate plans for the IP.[8] Weisman's latest company, Smith & Tinker, later "licensed from Microsoft the electronic entertainment rights" to Crimson Skies. Although the company has made no formal announcement as to its plans with the franchise,[1] Weisman has assured fans that there will be a new entry in the series.[4]

Also ich weiß von damals, dass die Rede von Rückkauf war. KA was jetzt passiert ist aber für mich war es eher so, dass er sie wieder besitzt und mit ihnen(sind ja mehrere) halt sein Geschäftsmodell vorantreiben will/wollte

Wie gesagt, ich weiß nicht mehr als was ich sage^^ Und wenn es stimmt, was du sagst, dann hat MS noch die IP in ihren Besitz. Verstehe jedoch das ganze Trouble von damals nicht, wonach man für Lizenserwerbung soviel Tralla betrieben hat^^ Denn Lizensvergabe ist doch was ganz Normales und daher hab ich es wohl auch deswegen anders Interpretiert ^^

ich hätte mal gerne eine hack'n'slay serie von ms, vergleichbar mit god of war.
oder ein action-adventure ähnlich darksiders.
eine weltraum-sim wäre auch geil -> starlancer

Crackdown könnten sie auch wieder machen oder was ähnliches, immehin hat hier Sony mit Infamous auch schon was ausgebaut. Fand Crackdown immer ziemlich interessant und finde es bis heute schade das ich es noch nicht mal angezockt habe

also crackdown teil 1 musst du unbedingt mal zocken, das game ist geil!
teil 2 habe ich zwar daheim liegen, aber bis heute nicht gezockt - soll ja weniger gut sein als teil 1.
mal sehen wann ich dazukomme.

Crackdown spielt man am besten im 2-Spieler-Online-Coop (was ein Wort ) - hatte mit Spitz und Pipboy seinerzeit wirklich viel Spaß mit Crackdown 1 (und dabei bin ich kein Fan dieses Genres) !

Microsoft beendet die Arbeit an zwei Projekten
Das Schicksal der Vancouver Studios ist weiterhin unklar, soll aber nicht von einer Schließung betroffen sein.

Vor kurzem machte das Gerücht über alle sozialen Netzwerke die Runde, dass Microsoft die Arbeit an der Free-to-Play Flugsimulation Flight beendet hätte und das auf Kinect-basierenden Project Columbia ebenfalls einstampfen würde. Dies würde mit der Schließung des Studios in Vancouver einhergehen. Microsoft äußerte sich nun dazu und bestätigte, dass die Flugsimulation und der unangekündigte Kinect-Shooter tatsächlich der Vergangenheit angehören, aber dass die Vancouver Studios nach eigenen Angaben nicht geschlossen worden wären.

Einen Grund für das Ende der beiden Projekte nennt Microsoft nicht, allerdings ist von einer "Überprüfung des Portfolios" die Rede. Im Klartext heißt das wohl, dass Microsoft keine Kunden für diese Spiele sieht. Die Vancouver Studios sollen weiterhin an neuen Projekten arbeiten, doch offenbar wurden auch einige Mitarbeiter entlassen - wie viele will Microsoft nicht verraten. Da das Team aber ohnehin nur aus 35 Köpfen besteht, könnte der Einschnitt nun wichtige Folgen haben.

New Xbox studio to open in London

Microsoft will open a new games studio in London, MCV can reveal.

The company is hiring for senior staff to run the studio, which will sit alongside established UK teams Rare, Lionhead and the newer Soho Studios.

“EMEA is a key market for us and we continue to cultivate the best talent and focus on growing our business, with this role focused on the continued expansion of our Microsoft Studios business in the region,” the company told MCV.

The team’s mission includes “developing successful new products and services for current and future consumers”.

Rumor: Next-gen Xbox already in production stage?

Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business, the group responsible for the rich set of entertainment products like Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Zune Marketplace, and more – are hiring. In looking for a new Senior Finance professional, the new job posting gives hints that the retail next-gen Xbox is about to hit the production line.

Still an un-named piece of hardware, many rumours for the next console/entertainment & media hub points to Xbox 8 and as part of the recent listing advertised, Microsoft confirmed that “The Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Information and Services (MSCIS) Finance team is growing rapidly”. They’re hiring for the future and looking for a senior Finance professional to provide leadership and financial expertise. The key words are “Manufacturing” and “Supply Chain” giving clear insight that things are moving forward. The successful candidate that Microsoft are looking for should have had at least 10 years of Finance experience in a similar role dealing with supply chain, and have a conceptual understanding hardware supply chain functions and its financial principles.

Earlier in the year it was estimated that more than 10,000 dev-kits were manufactured that will be distributed across the globe in preparation for development of the next-gen games set to be released in the next few years. Previous sources suggested that silicon production for retail consoles was to start late 2012, so don’t expect the next Xbox console before Spring 2013 at the very least!
