https://www.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/49r0fd/valve_over_30_new_vr_titles_at_gdc/On Wednesday afternoon, and all day Thursday and Friday of GDC, Valve will be handing over its booth space to over 30 third-party developers.
The majority of this content has never been shown before.
Below is the list of developers and content that will be shown in the Steam booth at GDC.
"The GTX 980 is still our recommended spec for running Elite Dangerous in Vive at a full 90fps with our VR optimised graphics settings. It's what we all agree will get you the most consistent and comfortable gameplay, even in cases where the GPU will be under greater load," Elite Dangerous Executive Producer Michael Brookes tells us, before going on to say that the game actually super-samples for the best possible presentation.
"The human brain has a low tolerance to hiccups in the VR space, and that's the spec we're confident putting our name on for a consistent gameplay experience when you're exploring our galaxy. Our spec also takes into account that we're not rendering at Vive's native resolution of 2160x1200 but at 3024x1680 (1.4x each dimension recommended by Valve) and then scaling down. We believe this is hugely important for anti-aliasing in VR to avoid noticing pixels so much, as other solutions can leave them appearing relatively large at the centre of your vision."
VRidge is complete runtime replacement that is compatible with Oculus 0.6-0.8 (so far) SDKs. We have written our own logic that translate phone sensor data into data understood by Oculus games. Games basically think that they are connected to real Oculus and get all needed input from VRidge.
IIRC Trinus streams active window and translates head rotation into mouse movements. VRidge is complete runtime replacement (oculus runtime is not even required) with low level hooks that emulate Oculus.
If Vive, as a hardware, will allow it, we will try our best to do it.
Für Gear planen sie die Automatische Deaktivierung, nice :-D
Hab jetzt das S7 Edge und werde auch bald Gear VR haben.
Was ist denn so die größte Empfehlung. Was soll ich zuerst ausprobieren?
But there’s a happy medium for players who want to play their library of non-VR games in Steam, and that’s SteamVR Desktop Theater Mode.
Valve today confirmed that SteamVR Desktop Theater Mode is in early beta and that the company would show it off for the first time at GDC 2016 next week. The mode is a bridge that allows games not made for VR to be played inside a virtual environment in a sort of virtual home theater with a huge display. The company says SteamVR Desktop Theater Mode will support the HTC Vive “and others,” which we presume to mean ‘any headset that SteamVR supports’ which is currently the Vive and Oculus Rift.

Das wird Sony 100% auch machen, würde mir das wegen der IQ nie freiwilig an tun, für Filme ist sowas aber geil wie das VR Cinema![]()
