Das Microsoft-Band sieht extrem gut aus.
Leider interessiert mich das genauso wenig wie eine Armbanduhr... diese ganzen Wearables scheinen alles ziemliche Gimmicks zu sein.
Bin echt gespannt, ob Apple-Kunden die Apple-Uhr genauso kaufen wie iPhone/-Pad.

Freut mich, denn optisch ist das Ding eine absolute Wucht.

hehe schrecklich nicht eher mainstream


ich hab aber auch ne uhren macke und sammel die dinger allerdings hauptsaechlich nur chronographen klassische dinger sind aber auch nicht so meins
hab mir mal eine bei hentschel machen lassen ansonsten finde ich insgesamt das hamilton die coolsten dinger macht
ne rolex und co hat ja jeder fuzzy am arm
ich suche noch eine black in black phantom wer da eine idee hat immer her damit

Aber grundsätzlich bin ich solchen Uhren aufgeschlossen. Ich denke, in einigen Jahren werden wirklich gute Sachen auf dem Markt erscheinen. Die Early Adopter waren schon immer diejenigen mit dem längsten Geduldsfaden und der höchsten Toleranzgrenze, was die Umsetzung angeht. Ich bin sicher, dass es iwann bald auch HD-Smartwatches und wasweißich geben wird.

Wichtig für mich: Wasserfest und stilsicher (unauffällig), gerne auch eingebettet in ein klassisches Uhrendesign und Android als Betriebssystem. Mal sehen, was in der Richtung so kommen wird.

Wenn die grossen Uhrenhersteller solche Uhren bauen dann wird wohl erst ein Schuh daraus und nicht anders herum

Nein, du irrst dich nicht, die Fitnessfunktionen werden auch stark beworben, aber es handelt sich nicht primär um ein Fitnessgerät, was man alleine daran sieht, dass der Bildschirm unnötig groß für ein solches ist. Fitness ist eine Funktion, weitere sind die App Integration und Kommunikation. Das Gerät ist eben primär eine Smartwatch und kein Fitnesstracker

Hat Microsoft etwa bereits Produktionszahlen veröffentlicht?

Nein, aber sie haben kommuniziert, dass das Gerät nur ein Showdevice ist und man sehr schnell eine neue Generation auf den Markt schmeißen möchte und deshalb nicht in großen Mengen produziert. Did you notice how there were no leaks of the Microsoft Band? No photos, no sightings, nothing coming from some production line in China. Had Microsoft opted to go full blast on this release, we would have known about it weeks ago. Instead, out of nowhere, it was announced Thursday night, and it was ready to buy the next morning.

Think about that and the logistics involved! You need to keep the operation small and tight in order to pull that sort of launch off.

There is also the reason mentioned above: the Microsoft Band is only a demonstration device meant to show off the Microsoft Health platform. High sales are respectable, but Microsoft's primary goal here is not necessarily to sell millions of these things, but to catch the attention of the partner manufacturers while stirring up excitement for consumers.

Having said that, I am sure if the industry as a whole snubs Microsoft, they are more than happy to ramp up the Band's production and go all out with it. I am not sure that is a fight smaller companies want to have though.

Sony scheint eine neue Art von Smartwatch zu entwickeln.

Sie ist dank eines e-ink screens nicht nur extrem dünn, sondern auch der Akku soll wesentlich laenger halten.

Ausserdem genial:

Band und Uhr gehen nahtlos ineinander ueber und das gesamte Band ist ebenfalls ein Display.

im video zu sehen ein Modell das ebenfalls auf diese Technik setzt, aber nicht von Sony kommt und sich momentan bei kickstarter befindet.

Ich faende das schon sehr cool.

E-ink gibts ja soweit ich weiss aich in farbe. Das aif bild und video sind ja prototypen.


Faende es auf jeden fall interessant eine sehr duenne, leichte uhr die ein einziges grosses farbdisplay ist am arm zu tragen und allemal angenehmer als diese jetziegen riesenkloetze die keinen tag durchstehen ohne akkuladung.


Ich gehoere pronzipiell aber eh zu denen die lieber eine echte und wertige uhr aus einem edlen material wie titan oder keramik oder gold tragen. Eine uhr ist fuer mich primaer noch immer ein mode assecoire.

Da kann sowieso leine smartwatch mithalten

ja dennoch sieht es nach plastik lack aus das glaenzen alleine schon....

und eine echte uhr wird so etwas auch niemals ersetzen genau wie ein buch
