In the latest issue of Famitsu, Hironobu Sakaguchi of Mistwalker, the studio responsible for the eagerly anticipated Blue Dragon, made a few remarks about Archaic Sealed Heat. The game has flown under the radar for the past year,
but Sakaguchi confirmed that it is eighty percent complete. There has been little new information about the game since Sakaguchi's 2005 interview in which he discussed details of ASH's plot and gameplay.
The game revolves around Queen Aisha and her quest to uncover the secrets of the Archaic Sealed Heat, an ancient sealed flame. Those who come into contact with the flame are turned to ash, but their memories and personality remain intact and they can be revived in an ashen form. Gameplay will be controlled exclusively by the stylus.
Archaic Sealed Heat is due out for the 2007 holiday season. Look to RPGamer for further details as they become available.
