Racing Game Expert Signed for Halo 4
Microsoft Game Studios and 343 Industries have revealed that a new skill set has been added to the development team behind the forthcoming Halo 4. Kiki Wolfkill has been working at Microsoft since 1998, having previously been involved in motion graphic art for PC games, but now her talents are being leant to 343 Industries, where she will act as an Executive Producer on the forthcoming return to the Halo universe.
Wolfkill has worked in the videogames industry for a good number of years, having spent most of her time within Microsoft Game Studios and helping to ship over twenty-five games.
Notable titles include series such as Project Gotham Racing, Midtown Madness, Forza Motorsport, Rallisport Challenge, Fable, Crackdown, ShadowRun and many others. Wolfkill has earned herself the reputation of being a ‘racing game expert’ as she was born in to a motorsport family and has raced both as an amateur and as a professional, beginning with amateur road racing with SCCA, NASAPro, and Porsche Club Racing. Competing in the Women's Global GT Series in a Panoz Esperante, Wolfkill placed in the top five three times and fifth overall.
Wolfkill has also served as a racing subject matter expert on a number of videogames and helped ensure that they play as a true to the real thing as possible. She has worked in-studio with the now defunct Bizarre Creations on Project Gotham Racing, deeply involved in the process of modelling real world Electronic Theatre Imagecars as art and science, involving the tech specs of each car, detailed photography and tuning the physics model of the games to reflect the handling characteristics of the cars.
Where this racing experience will come into play with Halo 4 is not yet known, though it could be considered evidence that 343 Industries is looking beyond the mechanics the series has offered thus far for a more innovative experience. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details on Halo 4, and other forthcoming titles from 343 Industries.
