I've now beaten the game and I have to say that this is the best standard format Zelda ever. What I mean by this is that it follows the general structure of Oot, Lttp, and LoZ, albeit with a lot more story elements. This game represents Nintendo throwing themselves at a specific type of game and working themselves to the bone in realizing it as best as possible. It's been an awesome experience.
That said, there's a lot of sadness here because you can also tell that this will likely be the last Zelda made with this structure. What began in the 80's with LoZ has culminated into one creative explosion with Twilight Princess, and it's hard to think of how it would be possible to maintain the structure, but still bring something new to the table.
So, honestly, I'm sad... sad in the way a person is when they realize they're just about at the end of a long journey... where they can look back and see that years have passed by so quickly (or in my case, 50 gameplay hours)... you wish you could continue in the experience, or relive it somehow, but you can't... and you look into the foreseeable future and you don't know when you'll get to experience something like it again...
I'm rambling now, but here's to everyone who made Zelda: TP possible, and to whatever future ideas they bring...
