Das Spiel kam am 10.07.14 auf den Markt, Absatzzahlen wurden bis zum 31.07.14 erfasst - sie bestehen ausschließlich aus Lieferungen an den stationären Einzelhandel, Download-Verkäufe im eShop wurden hingegen nicht mitgerechnet.

Dritte Version erscheint im Dezember

Youkai Watch von Entwickler Level-5 hat sich mit seinen bisher zwei Ablegern bereits millionenfach in Japan verkauft und trotzdem kaufen die Japaner den Titel auch Monate nach der Veröffentlichung des zweiten Ablegers in großen Mengen, wie der wöchentliche Blick in die Verkaufscharts verrät.

Youkai Watch 2 erschien dabei, ähnlich wie bereits die Titel der Inazuma-Eleven-Reihe, in zwei Versionen, Ganso und Honke. Wie nun die neuste Ausgabe des CoroCoro Comics enthüllte, wird am 13. Dezember eine dritte Version des Titels erscheinen, die den Namen Shinuchi trägt. Der Preis wird etwa 37 Euro betragen, allerdings besitzt die dritte Version auch neue Features und einige Boni. So wird sie den neuen Geist Dark Nyan besitzen und außerdem die Chance bieten, sich mit den fünf “Kaima Ghost Leadern” anzufreunden.

Des Weiteren besitzt Youkai Watch Shinuchi neue Quests und neue Bossgegner im Youkai-Watch-Busters-Modus. Die neue Version ist zudem mit Speicherständen von Ganso und Honke kompatibel. Die Retailversion des Titels wird eine Bunchinyan-Medaille enthalten und einen QR-Code für Jibakoma, während Käufer der Nintendo-eShop-Version ein Masked Nyan erhalten.

07.11.14 - Level 5 gibt bekannt, dass mehr als 3 Mio. Einheiten des Rollenspiels Youkai Watch 2 in Japan ausgeliefert wurden; in dieser Zahl sind Downloads aus dem eShop enthalten.

Das Spiel kam am 10.07.14 auf den Markt, Absatzzahlen wurden bis 07.11.14 erfasst.

Yokai Watch 2: Shinuchi pre-orders top one million

Pre-orders for Yokai Watch 2: Shinuchi, the third version of the July-released Yokai Watch 2 due out in Japan next Thursday, have exceeded one million in Japan, Level-5 announced.

The original releases, Yokai Watch 2: Ganso and Yokai Watch 2: Honke, have sold over three million units since launch (download version included).

The mega-hit franchise's first feature film Yo-Kai Watch: Tanjyo no Himitsuda-Nyan! (The secret of the invention) is finally released in Japan today on December 20. At the premiere event, LEVEL-5 president and CEO, Akihiro Hino revealed that the TV anime will be soon aired worldwide, including the U.S. and Europe.

He also confirmed that Jibanyan and Whisper's names will stay the same, while other yokais' will be changed. It's the same case with Pikachu in the Pocket Monster/Pokémon series, who is keeping its original name in the international versions. Hino then asked Etsuko Kozakura (voice actress for Jibanyan) and Tomokazu Seki (Whisper) to learn English for the expected international expansion of the Yokai boom.

Youkai Watch 3 Teaser im neuesten CoroCoro Comic

12.03.15 - Im neuesten CoroCoro Comic befindet sich ein Teaser für das noch unangekündigte Rollenspiel Youkai Watch 3 von Level 5. Auch ein neues Spiel soll sich mit Youkai Watch Busters in Arbeit befinden, heißt es in dem Heft.

Beide Spiele sollen ausführlich in der nächsten Ausgabe des Comics vorgestellt werden. Release: TBA (Japan)

Yo-Kai Watch 2 shipments top six million

Total shipments for all three versions of Yo-Kai Watch 2 (Ganso, Honke, and Shinuchi) have topped six million, publisher and developer Level-5 announced.

The number includes both retail shipments and download sales.

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Ganso and Honke launched for 3DS in Japan last July. Yo-Kai Watch 2: Shinuchi followed in December.

Last week, Level-5 announced that total sales across the series topped seven million. This coming Tuesday, April 7, Level-5 will host its annual Level-5 Vision press conference (which will be live streamed), where it’s planning to announce its latest Yo-Kai Watch developments, including Yo-Kai Watch 3.

Level 5 entwickelt Yo-Kai Watch Busters / Video Download

07.04.15 - Level 5 gibt bekannt, dass sich Yo-Kai Watch Busters in Arbeit befindet. Das Spiel basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Spielmodus von Yo-Kai Watch 2.

Es kommt in "Akanekodan" und "Shiroinutai" Versionen auf den Markt und ermöglicht das Online-Spielen. Die Geschichte wird aus der Yo-Kai- und nicht aus einer menschlichen Perspektive erzählt. Mehr als 25 Bossgegner sind geplant. Release: 11.07.15 (Japan)

Yo-kai Watch 3 Takes Place Both In USA And Japan

Level-5 had a lot to reveal during their big event yesterday, and one of the most anticipated title is Yo-kai Watch 3, which will be the center of the franchise’s “next season” movement. 4Gamer shares a look at some screenshots and more details on the game.

Yo-kai Watch’s next season will go through a major change in both, the game and anime series, as it will take place in the USA. This event happens when father of Keita (Nathan in the West), one of the protagonists, transfers to the United States as part of his work.

The town that Keita will live in is called St. Peanutsburg, USA, and the place is filled with all kinds of yokai monsters. In addition to the popular duo of Jibanyan and Whisper, Keita will meet all kinds of new yokai friends, and will have challenging mysteries to solve.

The above screenshots show us a little more of the friendly neighborhood in St. Peanutsburg.

In the next season of Yo-kai Watch, the series introduces a new protagonist by the name Inaho Misora. She’s also friends with a new yokai named USApyon. She’s a bit of an otaku, and Level 5 mentions that she’ll solve mysteries as part of a detective story in Sakura New Town in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Considering that Sakura New Town is the main city in past Yo-kai Watch titles, perhaps her story will take place in Japan while choosing Keita as the protagonist will have the game take place in the United States. There will be all kinds of other new characters as well.

The Yokai Watch device used throughout the series is also going to see an evolution as th e”Yokai Watch U Prototype” in the upcoming game. Using this new Yokai Watch, Keita and Inaho will meet all kinds of new yokai buddies.

Yo-kai Watch 3 is in development for Nintendo 3DS. Level-5 have plans for major free updates for the game after its release.

Yo-kai Watch Busters second trailer

Level-5 has released the second official trailer for Yo-kai Watch Busters: Red Cat Team and White Dog Squad.

The 3DS title, which is based on the “Yo-kai Watch Busters” mode first introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2, is due out in Japan on July 11.
