Oh, what's the matter. Jeff can't come defend his own biased review?
I'm not complaining because of the low score by the way. (I've played
it for HOURS and I can tell you that its one of the best games I have
ever played. I'd give it a 12 out of 10, so I could care the **** less
what an idiot like Jeff says.) I'm complaining because the reasons
stated for giving the game a low score were nitpicky, comprised of
double standards, and some were plain stupid. All Jeff proved was
that he doesn't have a knack for being a video-game journalist. He
applies far too many double-standards. This game can get a 9.6 and
this one a 10, but this game--which is most likely the better of the 3
games- gets and 8.8 because its on the Wii and its really hyped right
now (that was the best real explanation I could think of for his review,
because the issues he presents just seem to be a non-issue.). I wonder
what score the next acclaimed GTA or Halo title will get? Hmmm. Or
what about the other high scoring games that get consistantly good
scores but never change a damn thing? Madden? Socom? Call of Duty?
Oh wait. They aren't Zelda. So this doesn't apply to them, right? I've
read countless reviews from all people--from the internet forum commu-
nities, to news sites and magazines, to gaming site/mag editors and
rarely does this game's score drop below a 9.5. Never below an 9.0.
So instead of upholding the so-called "intregity" of your site, you seem
to be discrediting yourself as journalists and gamers. So I'll tell you
what I am going to do in the future. I'm going to trust the tons of
people out there who say the controls and the game are great, over
a jerk who just proved his knack for not being able to write un-biased
reviews and the dude who jumps to his protection. Sound good? By
the way, this is the first time I have ever been critical of this site. I
barely visit it and I still pay for a membership. But, looks like that
will end soon. And I hope a lot of other people are sick of paying
for this hit-grabbing-garbage you've been posting. Get some revie-
wers and writers who have the balls to stand up for their own opinions
and who can apply the same judging criteria to each game. Or fix your
flawed review system. I'd love to see a couple of different staff writers
review the game and then see how credible this site really is.
