With less than a month to go before Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition hits consoles, the game's official site was updated with a Q&A session, with a quick summary of information. A lot of this has been said before, but here's a clear summary of what to expect from the Arcade Edition update as it moves from arcades to consoles.
- There will be no balance adjustments from Arcade Edition, it's simply a straight port of the version that can now be found in arcades.
- Arrange costumes will not be included with the game. This counts for both the retail disc and the download version.
- If you've purchased downloadable costumes for Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV, they will be usable in Arcade Edition.
- Super Street Fighter IV players and Arcade Edition players will be able to face eachother online, however, when doing so, the game will fall back to Super in terms of characters and balance.
- Both Xbox 360 and PS3 players will have to download a free Super Street Fighter IV update kit for online matches which is due for release on June 7th.
- Rankings will be split between the regular edition and the arcade edition. In other words, your BP and PP will start of at zero in Arcade Edition.
- Trophies and achievements will carry over from Super Street Fighter IV into Arcade Edition.
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will be released digitally for people who already own the console version of Super Street Fighter IV on June 7th. A disc-based retail release is also planned, for June 24th in Europe and June 28th in North America for both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC version is also set to be released sometime in July.
An sich freue ich mich ja auf auf die AE Edtion...
