To Love-Ru Trouble Darkness: True Princess first details, screenshots

FuRyu has released the first details and screenshots for To Love-Ru Trouble Darkness: True Princess, its upcoming love adventure game based on the manga and anime series, due out in Japan on November 5.

About

As the protagonist Rito, players will improve their relationships with the game’s heroines. Different from the original work’s harem concept, the goal is to become tie yourself to only one heroine in this game. Players will enjoy an original story filled with CG event scenes and fully voiced by the same cast that led the anime.

Story

With the “Darkness Incident” that shook Sainan City settled, Rito Yuuki went back to enjoying his everyday life. But this tranquility did not last… as a certain happening resulted in Rito’s temporary loss of memory. He can’t remember anything that happened since he met Lala. Naturally, the girls all around Rito are in an uproar!

The one who offers to help him regain his memories…

The one who uses this chance as an opportunity to move forward with their plans…

The one who schemes to use this as a way of furthering their relationship with Rito…

Crows: Burning Edge announced for PS4, PS Vita

Japanese manga series Crows is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a new game called Crows: Burning Edge for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, Bandai Namco announced. It’s a melee action adventure game due out winter 2015 in Japan.

Seraph of the End PS Vita teaser website opened

Bandai Namco has launched the official teaser website for Seraph of the End: The Origin of Fate, its newly announced “dramatic tactics battle” game for PS Vita based on the manga and anime.

Additionally, a teaser website for Seraph of the End: Bloody Blade, its newly announced, free-to-play, “military defense RPG” for smartphones, was also opened.

Both games are due out in Japan this year.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition announced for PS4

Warner Bros. and Arrowhead Studios are bringing dungeon brawler Gauntlet to PlayStation 4 as Gauntlet: Slayer Edition on August 11 for $19.99, the publisher announced.

The co-op game offers four fantasy-based characters—the Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie, and Elf—each with a distinctive play style, and unique strengths and weaknesses.

The PlayStation 4 version will offer an unexplored realm where players will encounter new hero weapons and abilities, new monster types, additional features that increase team dynamics and strategy, and new gameplay modes to be revealed this month.

Pre-orders will include a code to unlock “Mordok’s Screaming Hammer” and “Reaper’s Visage Helm” for the Warrior.

Helldivers PS4 retail release due out in August
Helldivers, Sony Computer Entertainment and Arrowhead Studios’ March-launched PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita downloadable top-down shooter, will launch in a physical edition for PlayStation 4 at select retailers in North America on August 18 and in Europe on August 26, Sony announced.

The PlayStation 4 retail version is called Helldivers: Super-Earth Ultimate Edition and includes:

Helldivers PS4 Game on Blu-ray
Helldivers PS3 and PS Vita digital games
Helldivers Turning Up the Heart and Masters of the Galaxy Expansions
11 DLC packs + bonus weapons pack + PS4 Dynamic Theme

The Super-Earth Ultimate Edition will also be available across all versions via download on the PlayStation Store.

If you already own Helldivers, the “Masters of the Galaxy” expansion included with the Super-Earth Ultimate Edition is actually a free, content update available today. It includes:

New Trophies
New Bug “Hive Lord” Enemy Master
New Cyborg “Siege Mech” Enemy Master
New Illuminate “Great Eye” Enemy Master

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Overdrive Japanese release date set

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Overdrive will launch for PlayStation 4 in Japan on July 21 for 1,620 yen, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals.

A western release was previously confirmed for summer 2015.

Tokyo Xanadu introduces new characters, Fragments of Fate items

Dengeki PlayStation this week reveals three new characters set to appear in Tokyo Xanadu, due out for PS Vita in Japan on September 30.

They are:

- Rem (voiced by Mai Kadowaki) – A mysterious girl who speaks in a boyish tone. She gives Kou the chance to manifest his Soul Device and has knowledge about something called “Xanadu.” She has a glowing, transparent-like body, and thus appears to be a being between that of the real and Other worlds.
- Tomoaki Mikuriya (voiced by Hisayoshi Suganuma) – 29 years old. A narcissist who’s the son of the Mikuriya Group, which is part of the Zodiac organization. As candidate for an executive position at Zodiac, he is transferred to Morimiya City. The topic of marriage with Mitsuki is also brought up.
- Morimaru – The official mascot of Morimiya City, Mitama Udo Farmers Association advisor, and a big fan of the idol group SPiKA.

Also detailed is the game’s “Fragments of Fate” items. By using these items, which you’ll obtain through playing the story and exploring the city, you’ll be able to see character-specific “Kizuna Episodes.” These are available not only to main characters, but for sub characters like Shiori, Ryouta, and Towa, too. When viewing main character episodes, your Soul Level will increase. When viewing sub character episodes, you’ll receive rare items and other bonuses.

Hero Must Die PS Vita remake announced [Update]

Hero Must Die, an RPG led by Shoji Masuda (Oreshika designer) and developed by G Mode for cell phones in 2007, is getting a full remake on PS Vita courtesy of Nippon Ichi Software, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals.

The game is due out in Japan on February 15, 2016 for 5,980 yen at retail and 4,762 yen via download. The remake will have new characters and scenarios.

If you’ve never heard of it, the game is set in a world after the death of the devil king, and the hero has five days left to live.

(Yes, this is the title NIS teased last week.)

Update 8:00 a.m.: A few new details have come out of Famitsu, via Hachima Kikou.

The hero of Hero Must Die only has five days to live. This is following a bout with the demon king, through which he was killed. But even with the demon king’s defeat, the world still faced a number of problems. Thus, the hero is granted five more days to live, and as him, players can take on a variety of actions that result in different endings.

New elements include:


New scenarios across every heroine, as well as two brand new heroines.
Music arrangement and new music by Kenji Ito.
A voiced main character.

Mystery Chronicle opening movie, demo announced

Spike Chunsoft has released the opening movie for Mystery Chronicle: I Won’t Look Back Until I Win!, its upcoming PlayStation 4 and PS Vita 2D forced side-scrolling RPG.

Additionally, the company announced that a demo for the title will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers in Japan next Thursday, July 16. Everyone else will get it the following Thursday, July 23.

The full game is due out on July 30 in Japan.
