ZogDog-
I can't believe that I'm actually going to do this. I've thought about it over and over again, weighed the pros and cons, the risks and the rewards. I know what I'm up against, and I know that there is a pretty good chance that soon I will be pounding the steets in search of a new job. But right now, my mind is racing. My hands are trembling as I type this, because I know that I am about to reveal some news that will send shockwaves through a large portion of the gaming community. And I've chosen you to be the messenger.
About a week ago I created an account on your forums (ZogDog.com). I read about ZogDog on a blog site, but I cannot recall which one it might have been. All that I know is that I got a certain feeling while reading through some of
the posts on ZogDog's Nintendo forum. I feel as though the people who visit your site, and particularly some of the "regulars," share a special connection with Nintendo and their underlying philosophy of gaming. I got a feeling that was altogether unique from anything that I experienced on other blog sites, or gaming forums. You have been chosen ... not at random (this is not a drawing, after all) but through a complex decisionmaking process that took a number of important factors into consideration. I feel confident that I've selected the right venue to say what I'm about to say.
You, my friend, are about to be burdened with a large responsibility. You must decide how to properly "deliver" this news to the members of ZogDog. Be forwarned: people from Nintendo may threaten you with legal action when word gets out that someone has spilled internal details before the appropriate time. They may pry for information about this person known as "Reality101." As
a precaution (albeit a thin disguise!) I have created my account with fictitious information. If there is any possible way for me to remain at my current job, that would be best. If I am discovered, however ... well, I have prepared myself.
Enough jabber. I'm not going to sugarcoat the issue any longer. I am a long time Nintendo fan, as well as a current employee, and I am overflowing with excitement about what is about to be unleashed on the gaming community. Let me just say this: if you've always been a fan of Nintendo, you will soon experience an overwhelming feeling of pride. The so-called "Revolution" (not
the real name) is about to make Nintendo #1 again. For those of you who might see this, and who have never felt a strong bond with Nintendo ... well, that will soon change, too. A "Revolution" affects everyone - friends and enemies alike. You, too will be transformed, and will become a believer ... and a fan. The alternatives (Xbox 360, PS3) will simply seem uninspired after you are
confronted with the Revolution.
Now, for the part that I have both dreaded and longed for over the past few months. I have followed this "N Game." I have seen the questions, the rumors, the speculation. I have read the arguments. I have seen flame wars that are nothing short of awe-inspiring. I've experienced both friendship and hatred, and all of this happened because Nintendo refused to release concrete information about the Revolution. Oh, they had their reasons. But as far as I'm concerned, the risk that someone will steal the Revolution design has now been virtually eliminated. Hence my next few statements.
You've seen it. I know you have. The video, supposedly created by a 20-something Spanish student named 'Pablo.' You can still recall the frenzied excitement when you first experienced that "feeling." Games might actually be fun to play again. There might be something new and different on the horizon. Let me clarify your emotions for you. That feeling ... it's called HOPE. And
I'm gonna say it right now: all the time you spend playing (and replaying!) that "ON" video ... the countless messages posted in the forums ... the blogs, the speculation - all of it. IT HAS PAID OFF. The "ON" is real. It's coming, and it will be nothing short of amazing. That video was just the tip of the iceberg. You will be absolutely stunned the first time that your eyes come into contact with the visor. And there is more ... MUCH more. But I've said enough. I've confirmed your fantasies, and I'll tell you this: more surprises willbe coming soon.
You'll have questions, I am sure. I can't promise that I'll be around to answer them. I don't know what will happen to me after this. But I've enjoyed reading your comments ... I get a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that I work for a company that has earned such a strong fanbase. You haven't let Nintendo down, and I guarantee that *this time* Nintendo will give you exactly what you've wanted for so long.
Thanks,
Reality101

Going by that definition,
don´t you just end up
back where you started?
A Revolution that´s not about going around in circles
Alright you gullible assholes, you want something solid, Shikamaru Ninja/EAD Ninja from the gaming-age forums just released some new info (this guy unlike Snobe,Seriousgamer and all the other cunts has actually proven himself to be real). Anyways heres what he said.
Super Mario Revolution:
* Currently slated for launch
* Miyamoto confirms several experiments will forge the new style although it still may have a Mario 64 feel (or it may not).
* No confirmation as to if Sunshine team will develop it (now in Tokyo) or if Miyamoto has assembled a new team in Kyoto.
Original EAD Title
* Currently slated for Launch
* Most likely an unconventional title (ex Animal Crossing, Brain Training, Nintendogs)
Super Smash Bros. 3
* Currently slated for Launch
* WiFi enabled multiplayer and possible downloads
* Big resource title from Nintendo
* Masahiro Sakurai may be involved according to Iwata
Metroid Prime 3
* Currently slated for near-Launch
* More refined third person elements althought recent reports still indicate the main adventure will still be first-person and not third-person like many speculated.
* Most likely multiplayer will return but this time will have to take notes from Metroid Prime Hunters. Ex. multiple characters, more modes, no lock-on, Wi-Fi online, etc.
* Samus will explore the Metroid universe in new ways
* Kenji M. Yamamoto in charge of soundtrack
Donkey Kong Revolution
* Currently slated for near-Launch
* Inspired by Jungle Beat but will no longer use the Kongas or same control scheme
* Mostly like by Takao Shimizu's EAD team, although perhaps by the second team instead of Yoshiaki Koizumi and the Mario Sunshine team
* The first game was developed by many members of the Super Mario Sunshine team, former Rez team, former Data East, and former SNK.
Animal Crossing Revolution
* Currently slated for post-Launch
* Producer Katsuya Eguchi has confirmed the title is indeveloper
* Project originally started on GameCube with many experiments for online features
* Might interact with Animal Crossing DS
Golden Sun - Camelot RPG Revolution
* Currently slated for post-Launch
* No confirmation if RPG it will use Golden Sun IP
The Legend of Zelda Revolution
* Currently slated for post-Launch
* Initial scenario & script being written
* Early experiments
Revolution Games from Licensee Publishers (Confirmed)
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
* Currently slated for near-Launch
* Wi-Fi enabled
* Nintendo exclusive IP from Square-Enix
* Might interact with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles DS
He also said that some EAD people are considering an Icarus game, but nothing beyond that.
He was also asked about Bloggs like this one, and he said "these people are a weird bunch, i have actaully seen some of them but not all, and really, its just a big slap in the face; they are an insult to nintendo and to the fans".
Miyamoto: Retro gaming (laughs). Consoles will reach a barrier in the next generation, in a few months. The future might be games with multiple possibilities and unlimited data via the Internet. If we don't limit the number of gigabytes of a game, using the Internet which has no theoretical limit, why not imagine a virtual universe where all players sould cross paths? Games are still young compared to cinema. But revolutions only happen every 20 years I suppose! (laughs again)
