Good Morning,
The Revolution is coming. In a short time all these seemingly cryptic messages will be officially answered. Are those ads really of a new "Kid Icarus"? Is the Revolution releasing early or is it coming out in 2006. Is Mar 2006 a smokescreen or is the system going to launch in August with only first party support? Many look back at the NES launch in 1985 in New York. That was when the NES launched with R.O.B. the robot, a lightgun, duckhun, gyromite, Super Mario Bros. Zelda was out for the 1986 launch nationwide.
With just these titles Nintendo caused a Revolution in gaming. The game industry was about to fold. To many it had already collapsed. Nintendo as a matter of fact had to agree with retailers to buy back and unsold systems. That was risk. But Nintendo believed in the product. Nintendo believes in it product once again. There is competition in the marketplace. Sure Sony is huge, Microsoft is powerful. It was never about the other companies though. It is what Nintendo brings to gaming. They bring innovation. Fun. A place where our imagination runs free. Nintendo does not need third parties. Third parties need Nintendo. Have you ever bought a console for third party support? You buy a Nintendo for its first party games because they bring something the others do not. A new experience.
Some of you may be to young but do you remember the first time you played Super Mario Bros.? The feeling you got saving the princess from Bowser. How about the first time you went on a quest with Link in Hyrule. The first time you defeated the Mother Brain in Zelda. Do your remember the Revolution 20 years ago? How about the first time you saw the Uforce and did not need a controller to control the game? Do you remember the pad you use to run and jump on for track and field. This may be to far back for some. But if you remember this then you understand the importance of this Revolution.
The time has come again where Nintendo must fundamentally change the way games are played. You see as Sony and Microsoft focus just on technology for raw horse power that is not enough. Sony has made many mistakes already this generation. For one their price point will be very high. Microsoft has made mistakes in only focusing on a graphical improvement. There are more to games than just graphics. Graphics however are very important to a game but are only one piece of the puzzle and if you dont have all the pieces like innovation, gameplay, uniqueness, depth, and things that stimulate the imagination well then you are missing some pieces of that puzzle and dont get the whole picture.
Nintendo has never been about sales only though we are a company. We have been about the gamer. You see this is Nintendo's industry. We do not have multiple divisions that handle everything from Tv's,Computers, Walkmans, Stereo's etc. We focus on gaming. Delivering the ultimate gaming experience. Nintendo is not a multimedia system in the sense of the PS3 and the Xbox 360. That is Sony and Microsofts Vision. Our Vision is different. We are a Game Company. The best. There is no one that can compete with us in our industry. We created this industry anew in the mid 80's. If it wasnt for Nintendo gaming would not be where it is at today. We will not go quietly away without a fight. This is our industry. Once again we feel when people refer to playing videogames the will once again say I am playing "Nintendo".
Nintendo has been focusing its resources on this Revolution for some time.
You see a Revolution does not happen overnight. A revolution takes time. It must build up and continue to grow. We began a Revolution 20 years ago.
Another Revolution will begin shortly.
To all the Nintendo Fans around the world. Get ready for a Revolution. It is coming soon. Very Soon.
