The new blood came from all around the world. Some of the recruits were transplanted from Japan's EAD group, while others were lured from third party companies like Electronic Arts and Rockstar. Some new talent from DigiPen and other universities were also added to the mix.

Current rumblings report that NSTC has 2-3 development teams in full-force. One confirmed project comes from Richard Vorodi, who is finishing up Metroid Prime: Hunters. The only other title mentioned has been rumored to be a futuristic realistic first-person shooter for the Nintendo Revolution. Nintendo is in dire need of creating first-party software that will attract the American audience for the Revolution launch.

George Harrison stated recently to IGN that they made a big mistake this generation by "not having a GTA and a Gran Turismo." Corporate representatives choose their words carefully when making public statements. Never do they come out public and say "this is a problem" if they don't intend to fix it. I'm predicting that either Nintendo is developing a racing sim in-house, or they've contracted with another studio to produce one (such as Konami).

In fact a formal division was formed specifically for this purpose when Iwata restructured EAD earlier this year. Nintendo Software Production & Development was created specifically for the task of overseas production of first-party software (Retro, NSTC) with subsidiary and partnered development groups. (Kuju, N-Space, Zoonami, as well as any other foreign studios they will colloborate with & publish software for in the future) Headed by Akita Ootani. However domestic colloborations such as with Konami will be handled by a different EAD division, as yet unspecified.
Nintendo wird allem Anschein nach echt erwachsen :oGeorg Prime schrieb:Current rumblings report that NSTC has 2-3 development teams in full-force.
