London Studio a member of PlayStation World Wide Studios, and the team behind recent virtual reality (VR) demonstration videogames, The London Heist, The Deep and VR Luge at last weeks Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) are looking at expanding the team in Soho, London by advertising for a senior technical designer.
The role within one of the leading VR studios for Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD), will be to help design and implement videogames for the HMD although the listing doesn’t specify if the applicant will be working on one of the current titles in development or a brand new project.
All London Studios current line-up of demos for Project Morpheus have received great feedback from the press. The Deep from what’s been shown is a first-person experience that sees players diving to the depths of the ocean before coming under attack from a shark, VRFocus has previously reported that the demo is now going to be a fully fledged title. The London Heist has two demos, one titled The London Heist: Getaway and the other The London Heist: Interrogation. VR Luge which VRFocus has previewed, offers full control of your movement without any controller interface. Making sole use of the head-tracking available within the Project Morpheus headset, the player tilts their head left and right in order to guide the board upon which they lie in their chosen direction.
