Jetzt mal ehrlich, etwas utopisch war die aussage schon, aber woher willst du wissen, dass es nicht so ist?! Ich mein ich kann mir schon vorstellen das die ps3 stärker wird, du nicht? Kannst du es nicht verkraften, oder was? :lol: Als ob jetzt MS dir gehören würde und du der entwickler der xbox next bist, oder warum fühlst du dich immer dann angegriffen wenn eine news kommt wo drin spekuliert wird, dass die ps3 stärker wird?!

Mich wurmt höchstens das es tatsächlich Menschen genug gibt die jeden Scheiss glauben.
 
Mich wurmt es dass gebannte User wie Zocker/Mayls, sich zweitaccounts anlegen um weiterzubashen... :rolleyes:
 
tja, das war zu erwarten... nicht mehr lange und team ninja bringt DoA und Ninja Gaiden exklusiv für PS3!^^
 
sollte das so sein hat MS ein wirkliches Problem.
Den Nrev wirds nicht beeinflussen , die haben eh ein ganz anderes Kliente und werden wahrscheinlich eigenbrödlerisch den jeh. Was ich auch gut finde. Bin echt gespannt was auf der e3 zu sehen sein wird.

Ich denke die XBOX 2 wird auf Werbung und trara setzen
die PS3 auf Leistung
und der Rev auf die neuen Features und bekannte Namen
 
Ich glaube Enten sollten eine höhere Stellung in Deutschland einnehmen.

Achja, ich glaube nichts, bevor ich die Systeme gesehen habe. Ich weiß auch noch garnicht welche der drei Konsolen ich mir kaufe. Solche Meldungen wie aus der EGM gibt es immer und wir können uns drüber auslassen. Mal schaun.

Sony and Toshiba to team up on a new, unified next-gen format. Where does PS3 fit in?

April 21, 2005 - According to a report by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the next-generation format war may be over before it ever starts. The Japanese newspaper on Thursday published with news that Sony and Toshiba are expected to make an announcement later this month that they have abandoned the Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats respectively and are working on a new medium that will bring together both standards.

Sony, a leading member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, announced last year that it would include a Blu-ray drive in its forthcoming next-generation console, PlayStation 3. More than 100 companies, including Apple, Panasonic, HP, and Pioneer, support Blu-ray, which promises up to 50 gigabytes of storage on a single disc side. Toshiba leads the opposing format, HD-DVD.

While it is commonly accepted that Blu-ray discs offer more storage space than HD-DVDs, electronics companies and Hollywood studios have remained divided over the two formats due in large to the manufacturing processes. In short, the DVD infrastructures already in place would serve HD-DVD manufacturers. However, costly new facilities and operations would need to be created in order to support the Blu-ray format.

Sony and Toshiba have remained in negotiations on the subject for weeks, with key company executives from each camp dropping hints that a unified standard would be optimal.

The Nihon Keizai Shimbun reports that, having reached an agreement that a new, unified standard would be the best thing for the industry, Sony and Toshiba are now in the process of designing the new standard, which seeks to take the strengths from each medium and combine them.

Sony has reportedly suggested using Blu-ray's disc structure and HD-DVD's software technology while Toshiba has suggested keeping HD-DVD's disc structure and applying Sony's multi-layer data-recording technology.

The Japanese paper reports that both companies are eager to reach an agreement in order to avoid the format wars that initially confused consumers and hindered both the VHS and DVD eras. The two electronics giants have already briefed major Hollywood studios including Disney and AOL Time Warner on the idea of a new, unified standard, according to the paper.

The big question is, what does this news mean for PlayStation 3, which is scheduled to release sometime next year? The very probable answer is that the next-generation machine will drop Sony's announced Blu-ray drive in favor of hardware that instead plays this new, still-announced format compromise.
 
Ziemlich gute Nachricht, auf die dauer könnte so ein Krieg für beide seiten "tödlich" enden :)
 
Abgesehen davon dass die News alt ist und meines Erinnerns nach auch schon in diesem Thread ihren Niederschlag gefunden hat, frage ich mich ob dann auf der E3 tatsächlich eine finale PlayStation3 zu sehen sein wird. Denn so wie es aussieht, gibt es da zwischen den Konsortien noch einige wichtige Details zu klären, da jeder möglichst die eigene Technik die grössere Rolle spielen lassen will. Zum anderen ist doch damit ebenso fraglich, ob sich die PS3 damit nicht noch weiter verschiebt, wenn die tatsächlich dieses neue Medium verwenden soll...Fragen über Fragen.
 
@ Mia Max: Keine Seite wusste wer gewinnen könnte, die chancen standen etwa 50:50, es hätte für beide firmen riesenverluste geben können, darum ist es eine sehr positive news :)
 
Terminator - Ich halte es jedenfalls nicht für eine Ente. Aber es kommt immer darauf an welche Entwickler damit wohl gemeint sind. Team Ninja fällt einem da z.B. ein, die sich angeblich stets an der stärksten Hardware orientieren. Aber wenn man mal darüber nachdenkt, dann drängt sich mir die Frage auf warum das den Entwicklern ausgerechnet jetzt auffallen soll. Ich denke Entwickler haben diese Entscheidungen schon vor einiger Zeit getroffen.
 
So langsam lässt sony wieder die Muskeln spielen, nachdem für eine weile nur MS im mittelpunkt war :D

Erst wechseln alle entwickler von der 360 zur ps3, und nun kommt auch noch die news mit dem DVD nachfolger...

da kann ich mich nur Terminator anschliessen :)
