Naja, gibt schon viele Matschtexturen. So toll finde ich das jetzt nicht.
Da sieht sowas:

weit beeindruckender aus, imo.

Metroid Prime 3 in 1080p über einen Wii-Emulator. (Dolphin)

Recently, our great leader Frank Moricz outlined some highlights of PC gaming over consoles and the console ports of traditionally exclusive PC titles, as well as their effect on the industry and the games themselves. I will offer the other side of the story and follow the steps of Frank when I say I mean no offense to PC gamers. PC gaming is responsible for most of what gaming is today, and I respect that. I am simply highlighting the advantages consoles have over PC gaming. With that being said, lets begin.
While everyone can agree that PCs offer better graphics and more mods, there is a lot that can be said about console gaming and what it brings to the table:
Graphics, yes. But consoles have lots of advantages.
First off, when it comes to gaming, the numbers are overwhelmingly in favor of consoles. I am excluding flash games and mobile games of course; my focus is on premium titles. More people play their games on consoles than PCs this day in age. While this could not be said in the past, console popularity has grown exponentially over the past decade or so, with Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony all trying to cater to a larger, more casual audience. The increase in console units sold have led to some exciting innovations and great exclusive games from all parties, which makes gamers everywhere winners, and the addition to the casual market could eventually lead to those casual gamers breaking into the traditional, more hardcore games.
Then there is price. PC gaming, when done at the highest level, is quite expensive. Most consoles over the years have released for between $250-$600 bucks while mega gaming rigs from popular PC manufacturers cost 3 to 4 times as much. Also, constant upgrades become available all the time, asking those top of the line gamers to shell out more money for better equipment. Of course with PCs, there are system requirements for each game that is released, and if your rig can’t handle the game you want to play, you can expect to shell out some extra dough in order to play it. This is not true with consoles. You look at the logo, if it says PS3, guess what, it’ll play on your PS3, no questions asked. While a lot can be said for how PCs are graphically superior to consoles, this however comes with a hefty price. Unless you know how to construct your own tower of graphical greatness, most of the public, including gamers, have no idea how to do so, and even with that knowledge, you are still looking at spending twice as much on your PC than a new console.
Lets not forget about install times. No need more most console games, 99.99% (I’m looking at you Metal Gear Solid 4). You just throw the disc in, and your ready to play. No need for waiting, multiple disc changes, etc. This is a small advantage that many over look when discussing the debate between consoles and PCs, and rightly so. One the game is installed, the argument doesn’t hold a lot of weight, since it’s a one time thing, but I find it slightly relevant to our discussion. As many PC gamers will no doubt take offense to this article and bash me in the comments below, I need all the ammunition I can get, lol.
Consoles have been more popular for years now.
The most important argument here, I believe, is the games themselves. Consoles just have more exclusives, plain and simple, and great ones too. While most games that come to the Xbox 360 eventually get ported to PC, Sony and Nintendo have tight grips on some “AAA” titles. Uncharted, God of War, Killzone, Heavy Rain and nearly every popular Nintendo franchise are only available on there respective systems. This is a huge blow to PC gamers, because some of those games listed above won Game of the Year awards. On that subject, when is the last time a PC exclusive title won GotY? It’s been a while. As a matter of fact, in the past 14 years, only 3 PC exclusive titles have won GotY awards, those three being The Sims, Battlefield 1942, and Diablo II, while consoles hold 6 exclusive winners. With the growing popularity of consoles, we may never again see a PC exclusive GotY winner. (Before any arguments start, those GotY statistics came from a combination of IGN, Spike TV and The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.)
So there you have it. We covered exclusive titles, pricing and popularity, all of which are more favorable for consoles than PCs. If you feel I have wronged you, which I am sure some PC gamers will, feel free to leave your comments below for discussion.

Naja die Argumentation ist schon schwach....besonders wenn man einen oberen Mittelklasse gaming PC sich schon für ca. 500€ bauen kann und damit sehr starke Grafik bekommt.
:v:You failed to mention the price difference between PC and console games. Console gamers are paying up to $20 more for an inferior version of the same game.
Sarkasmus?sicherem Online System
Wachstum PC Retail: ~-3%
Wachstum Online Markt(online games, mmo, social, browser): ~30-40%
Ich hoffe auch, dass die Daten bei den Hackern in besten Händen sind![]()
