Final Fantasy XIV is nearing its upcoming patch 3.35, which will bring with it new content for adventurers to explore. Perhaps the biggest piece of entirely new content arriving in the patch is the introduction of The Palace of the Dead. A recent post on the game’s official Developer’s Blog gives us a look at what to expect from this Deep Dungeon.
To begin the Deep Dungeon quest, players must be at least level 17. The unique dungeon features its own separate leveling and equipment system, meaning that, while inside the Palace of the Dead, you will be working your way up from level 1. To gain levels, players must defeat enemies. Treasure chests found in the dungeon will also reward weapons that can be used to further enhance your character. Additionally, treasure chests may also drop special items you and your team can use to strategically move from floor to floor.
However, should you or a party member fall in battle, there are special stone towers that can be activated that will revive said player. Phoenix Downs can be used to revive knocked out players, as well, meaning there is no strict guideline for party composition and players can go as whatever class they wish.![]()

Lastly, the Deep Dungeon also uses its own save feature to help preserve your progress.
Final Fantasy XIV has surpassed six million cumulative players globally—excluding free trial players—in its under three years since its A Realm Reborn relaunch, Square Enix announced.
The milestone coincides with today’s release of Patch 3.35 and the announcement of a free login campaign period that will run globally from July 25 at midnight PDT to August 30 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. The latter offers lapsed players up to five full days to explore the game’s wealth of new content, and will be available to players registered for a service account that has not been active for 30 or more days before the campaign period.
Here’s an overview of today’s new patch:
Patch 3.35 introduces the Deep Dungeon: The Palace of the Dead, where newcomers and veterans can band together for an unprecedented adventure in Final Fantasy XIV. With parties of up to four, the Palace of the Dead is the first of many planned content updates where players can battle through an array of enemies, avoid traps and tackle bosses to gain valuable experience. The dungeon features randomly generated maps, several dozen floors, and starts every participant at Level 1 with a unique new progression system. Diving deep into the dungeon will see players focusing on strengthening their gear throughout their journey, as they work to unravel the mystery of the Palace of the Dead.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Schon ewig her.
Das ding kostet ja 45.
