Fairy Tail Anime's Tartarus Arc Begins This Spring

This year's eighth issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine will announce on Tuesday that Fairy Tail's Tartarus arc will begin in the anime this spring.

The Tartarus arc began in Hiro Mashima's manga in October 2013 with the 356th chapter, and will end with the 416th chapter on Tuesday.

Mashima launched Fairy Tail in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2006, and Kodansha shipped the 47th compiled volume on Friday. Kodansha Comics is releasing the series in North America, and will ship the 46th compiled volume on January 27.

The series inspired a television anime in 2009 that concluded with a "To Be Continued" title card in 2013. The second series began airing in Japan last April, and Crunchyroll and Funimation stream the series as it airs. Funimation is releasing the first series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in North America.

Joa, war im Manga schon ziemlich herzerwärmend das Special. Waren ja beide.
Aber gerade so ein Special mit Juvia hat mich gefreut und wurde ganz gut umgesetzt, sehe ich genauso.

Fairy Tail Manga Gets 2nd Anime Film

This year's 25th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that a second anime film of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail manga has been green-lit. The magazine is unveiling imageboard art that Mashima himself drew for the film. The upcoming issue is also publishing two chapters of the manga (it is the fourth issue in a row with two chapters), and it teases "the series' biggest shocker ever! A development you absolutely can't miss!!"

The manga follows the adventures of world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. It already inspired two television anime, several original video anime projects, and spinoff manga. The franchise's first anime film, Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess, opened in Japan on August 18, 2012.

Del Rey published the first 12 volumes of the original manga in North America, and Kodansha resumed publishing the manga in English with the 13th volume in 2011. Crunchyroll streams the ongoing television anime into several countries as it airs in Japan, and Funimation has been releasing DVD/Blu-ray sets.

Fairy Tail Zero Prequel Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation in January

The wraparound jacket bands on the 52nd volume of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail manga and the one compiled volume of Mashima's Fairy Tail Zero manga both announced on Tuesday that Fairy Tail Zero is getting a TV anime adaptation. The announcement states that the staff will announce more details in the future on the official website for the Fairy Tail anime franchise.

The tagline above reads, "The beginning of many things!! The adventure guided by magic and companions …"

Additionally, this year's 51st issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is revealing the anime's main cast on Wednesday:

- Mamiko Noto as Mavis
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Yuri
- Hiroshi Shirokuma as Warrod
- Yoshihisa Kawahara as Precht
- Akira Ishida as Zeref

The issue also reveals that the anime will premiere in January.

Weekly Shōnen Magazine's next issue will reveal the voice actress for Zera.

Mashima launched the Fairy Tail Zero manga in the first issue of Monthly Fairy Tail in July 2014, and he ended the manga in the magazine's 13th and final issue on July 17.

Fairy Tail Zero Prequel TV Anime Casts Kana Hanazawa as Zera

This year's 52nd issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced on Wednesday that Kana Hanazawa will voice the character Zera in the television anime of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail Zero manga. Kanazawa said that she wants to faithfully portray Zera's strength and gentleness. She added that she looks forward to being able to chat with Mavis.

Kodansha Comics announced this month that it has licensed the manga and will release it in summer 2016. The company describes the manga as follows:

Ich hatte mal den Manga bis zu der Stelle mit einem Casino bzw. riesigen Turm gelesen und dann pausiert. Zu der Zeit hat es den Anime noch nicht gegeben. Der Manga geht ja noch weiter und ein Ende scheint wohl nicht in Sicht zu sein?

Fairy Tail gilt ja quasi als One Piece zweiter Klasse, ohne es nun damit abwerten zu wollen, aber einen Status der Big 3 hat es nicht erreicht. Mir hat der Manga damals trotzdem Spaß gemacht und da ich ohnehin nicht weiß, was ich gucken soll, dachte ich mir ich könnte den Anime anfangen. Der soll ja zumindest zu Beginn gut angekommen sein und soll einen tollen Soundtrack haben, auch wenn er mit seinem "keltischen" Stil merkwürdig gewählt zu sein scheint.

Wurde der Manga gut umgesetzt (u.a. animationstechnisch)? Filler kann man leicht überspringen? Sprich sie sind nicht (häufig) mit Canonfolgen vermischt?

Hat der Anime nun ein alternatives Ende bekommen oder pausiert er nun? Bei Bleach wurde der Anime ja komplett auf Eis gelegt, aber bin mir nicht mehr sicher, wie es hier war.

Der Anime hat das übliche Problem: low Budget, später viele Filler und nur in entscheidenen Momenten gute Animationen (aber nie sehr gute Animationen) Das größte Problem zu Beginn: Sailor Moon Animationen, stell dich auf viele Wiederholungen mit komischen Hintergründen ein. Der Soundtrack ist noch das beste dadran. Mir wurde es irgendwann zu viel und ich hab den Anime abgebrochen und lese nur noch den Manga.
Imho lohnt es sich nicht, die Meinung hab ich aber auch bei One Piece, Naruto und Bleach, wobei man dort immerhin die wichtigsten Kämpfe genießen konnte.

Ich find den Anime sehr gut, erst nachdem dieser das erste mal pausiert hatte hab ich den Manga angefangen. Der Soundtrack ist klar das Highlight, kenne nichts besseres und passenderes im Anime Bereich. Der aktuelle Anime pausiert nur.

Also der Anime hat sich bei Naruto und Bleach mehr als gelohnt. Da gab es schon einige Kämpfe, die mehr als geil aussahen. Beide Animes haben auch einen starken OST. Naruto hat nach dem Jiraiya Arc abgenommen (wie der Manga), aber nicht so stark wie Bleach nach dem Ichigo vs Ulquiorra Kampf, wo es dann am Ende mit Aizen immer absurder wurde. Den One Piece Anime habe ich nur bis zum Beginn des World Wars angesehen und war dann echt enttäuscht von den Animationen und den Kämpfen. Kein Naruto oder Bleach Niveau bei deren "Peaks".

Bei Fairy Tail hatte ich den Manga vor zig Jahren bis zu dem Zeitpunkt gelesen, wo das Geheimnis um Mistgun gelöst worden ist und es immerhalb der Gilde zum "Ranglistenkampf" kam. Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere.

Beim Anime bin ich nun am Ende des Phantom Arcs angelangt und muss sagen, dass es bisher eine Stufe hinter den Big3 und HxH Remake ist. Bei den 4 war ich damals immer total heiß auf die nächste Folge und hier bin ich "nur motiviert".

Meiner Meinung nach ist es halt schon ein Problem, dass der Stil von Oda abgekupfert worden ist und stark an One Piece erinnert und zudem nicht ernst genug ist. Der Humor im Anime ist zwei Prisen zu viel. Ob es im Manga damals auch so war, kann ich nicht sagen, da zu lange her. Leider verkommen so auch die Heiligen Magier zu Witzfiguren, weil sie zum Großteil auch so aussehen. Der OST mit seinem keltischen Stil in einem Shonen Anime ist schon etwas surreal bzw. komisch, aber passt zumindest ganz gut zum "Fairy" Teil.

Fairy Teil unterhält mich gut und ich würde bisher eine 8.0 von 10 geben, aber man merkt schon, dass einiges abgekupfert bzw. stark inspiriert ist. Deswegen denke ich auch, dass es nicht die epischen Ausmaße der Big 3 erreichen wird, was die Story bzw. die Fights angeht.
