Dragon Quest series characters, including Dragon Quest IV‘s Alena, Kiryl, Maya, as well as Dragon Quest VI‘s Terry, will be playable in Dragon Quest: Heroes, Square Enix announced during a stage event at the Tokyo Game Show.

Square Enix producer Ryota Aomi asked Niconico viewers which Dragon Quest V character they would like to be playable. A questionnaire appeared on screen and four options were given. When the results came in, almost 50 percent voted for Bianca. In response to this, Koei Tecmo producer Kenichi Ogasawara said they’ll have to “seriously consider” adding her to the game.

Moving on, the producers said that the PlayStation 4 version of Dragon Quest: Heroes will “run smoothly at 60 frames per second,” and its graphics are “beautiful enough to see the monster’s fur.”

The game stars dual protagonists Akuto and Meer. Players can select either at the start of the game, and depending on your choice, the story will partially branch. You can also switch between characters during battle. Elements and locations expected of a Dragon Quest game are also being prepared.

In HW gibt es ja auch nen riesen aber den kann man nicht so dynamisch bekämpfen.

Nachdem mir HW außerordentlich gut gefällt, werde ich dem Spiel auf jedenfall auch eine Chance geben :-D

So sieht's aus ... HW ist so gut, dass DQ Heroes auf jeden Fall auf mein "Kauf-Radar" gelandet ist !

Erste Episode zu Dragon Quest Heroes TV im Livestream

Die nächste Berichterstattung zum Action-Rollenspiel von Square Enix und Koei Tecmo, namentlich Dragon Quest Heroes, soll im Rahmen der am 28. Oktober ausgestrahlten, ersten Episode zu Dragon Quest Heroes TV erfolgen.

Ryota Aomi und Kenichi Ogasawara, Produzenten bei Square Enix und Koei Tecmo, warten am Ende des Monats mit der aktuellsten Version des Spiels auf. Auch Synchronsprecherin Shoko Nakagawa und Dragon-Quest-Erfinder Yuji Horii werden dabei sein.

Der Aufgabe, den Livestream zu übertragen, wird sich das japanische Videoportal Niconico annehmen. Die erste Episode zu Dragon Quest Heroes TV wird am 28. Oktober um 16:00 in Japan (09:00 Uhr in Deutschland) gesendet.

Dragon Quest Heroes follows the formula Omega Force has been using for years with the Dynasty Warriors spinoffs – they’re mixing and matching fan favorite characters. Remember Terry from Dragon Quest VI or perhaps Dragon Quest Monsters? He’s confirmed for Dragon Quest Heroes.



Jump also reports, Alena, Kiryl, and Meena from Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen will be in the action RPG too.

Ich hoffe es gibt Charactere aus allen DQ Teilen, die aus Teil 5 gefallen mir noch am besten.
Ach, das Spiel muss einfach in Europa, oder Amerika erscheinen..

Dragon Quest Heroes bekommt Sprachausgabe spendiert

Anders als Hyrule Warriors, wird Dragon Quest: Heroes auch Sprachausgabe bieten. Die neue Ausgabe der japanischen Jump enthüllt, dass auch die Charaktere der alten Teile dabei vertont werden, so auch Alena, Kiryl, Maya Mahabala aus Dragon Quest IV und Terry aus Dragon Quest VI!

Neben vielen bekannten Charakteren, Wesen und Gegnern aus der Dragon-Quest-Historie gibt es natürlich auch ein paar neue Charaktere. Dazu zählt auch Homiron, der Heilschleim. Er begleitet den Helden auf seiner Reise. Ihr seht ihn in dem neuen Jump-Bericht. Dragon Quest: Heroes erscheint im Frühjahr 2015 für PlayStation 4 und PlayStation 3 in Japan.

Dragon Quest VIII’s Yangus And Jessica Whip Their Way Into Dragon Quest Heroes

Dragon Quest Heroes brings back various fan favorite characters like Terry from Dragon Quest VI, along with Dragon Quest IV’s Alena, Kiryl, and Meena. The latest issue of V-Jump magazine announced a couple favorites from Dragon Quest VIII. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

According to comments from key personnel, it was thanks to Koei the strong desire from Koei Tecmo president and CEO Yoichi Erikawa that Jessica made it in. “I’m always getting my butt slapped by my wife, but I’d also like to try using a whip,” said Erikawa with a laugh.

As far as Yangus’ selection goes, “the Dragon Quest series has a lot of old guys. So, if we don’t have some in [Dragon Quest Heroes] now, if we were to make a second game for it, then it’d be full of old guys,” Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii jokingly explained.

Square Enix recently revealed Jessica and Yangus from Dragon Quest VIII will participate in the upcoming action title, Dragon Quest Heroes. Two new heroines have also been announced as well in the latest issue of Jump magazine. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]



The new characters in question are Bianca Whitaker, Dragon Quest V protagonist’s childhood friend and also one of the wife choices. It is said that she’ll use some sort of bow as her weapon of choice to take on hundreds of Slimes.



The other character is Nera Briscoletti, one of the possible party members and wife candidates. As for Nera’s outspoken sister Debora, there hasn’t been any word on her participation, but there’s still a chance she’ll also be introduced for the upcoming game.



Game Jouhou mentions that the report comes from various sources from those who purchased early copies of Jump, so some of the information could be subject to change, but due to the many similar reports on the magazine issue, it is most likely true.



You can also check out our earlier report featuring Square Enix’s first demonstration of the game, which shows off the hero taking on a bunch of Slimes, Dracky, and Golems, while using his Super High Tension mode to wipe them all out.

Dragon Quest Heroes screenshot shows King Leo battle

Square Enix has released a single new screenshot of Dragon Quest Heroes showing the hero in battle with the four-armed boss monster King Leo, who makes an appearance from Dragon Quest IV.

Also released are character models for Bianca Whitaker and Nera Briscoletti, who come from Dragon Quest V, and of Jessica Albert and Yangus from Dragon Quest VIII. There’s a model for King Leo, too.

Jump this week reveals the latest batch of confirmed voice actors for Dragon Quest Heroes‘ successive generation Dragon Quest characters.
