So, gerade bemerkt das "Ikki Tousen" in die 3. Staffel geht die erste Folge gibt es auch schon per"Ger. Sub" und es hat sich einiges getan also es geht heiser zu den je
Insbesondere die sexuelle Ausrichtung der weiblichen Kämpferinen ist "interessant"

Hmm, Ikki Toussen, gutes Stichwort... Bei uns ist ja glaube ich das erste Volume von "Dragon Destiny" mittlerweile auch schon erschienen...

Ich find die Serie persönlich zwar cool (ausgehend von der 1. Staffel). Aber dass sie so langlebig ist und bisher noch 2 Nachfolgestaffeln bekommt. Damit hätt' ich nicht gerechnet...

Death Note Creators Confirmed to Launch Bakuman Manga

Tsugumi Ohba, Takeshi Obata's "explosive" work to start in Japan on August 11

This year's 36th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has confirmed on Monday that the Death Note writer/artist team of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata are launching a manga called Bakuman in the next issue, which goes on sale on August 11. The magazine describes the new manga as "explosive." (The Japanese word for "explosion" is "bakuhatsu"). Maison de Penguin comedy manga creator Kōji Ōishi is also launching a new manga called Inumarudashi– two issues from now on August 26.

Although the Death Note manga ended its main run in Japan in 2006, Ohba and Obata created a Special Edition side story together in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February to coincide with the L change the WorLd movie spinoff's opening day. The North American distributor Viz Media has released the entire Death Note manga series, as well as the anime adaptation and a novel, while its sister company Viz Pictures is releasing at least the first live-action film adaptation.

New Art Previewed for Japanese-Animated First Squad

Russia-set WWII anime created by Canadian company, animated by Studio 4°C

Russian anime magazine editor Valery Korneev and the Canadian animation development company Molot Entertainment have previewed a layout sheet, a character design sheet, and a finished frame from First Squad, an animated video project set during World War II that is currently in production at Japan's Studio 4°C. First Squad will tell the story of five teenagers serving in a special Soviet military intelligence unit that is fighting against the invading Nazi army. Molot is based in Toronto with additional offices in Berlin, Moscow, and Tokyo, and it began developing First Squad in 2004. The official website is hosting a one-minute trailer for the project.

In 2005, Studio 4°C's animator Daisuke Nakayama (The Animatrix's "Beyond" and "Second Renaissance," Mind Game, Tweeny Witches) directed a First Squad music video for a song by the Russian rap group Legalize. The video screened on Russian television and was shown at France's Animasia festival in 2006. Next month, the Russian anime magazine Aniguide will run an exclusive feature on the First Squad project's current status.

keine ahnung ob ich die erste meldung gepostet hatte, aber ich freue mich auf den anime. von Studio4°C kann man jedenfalls einen augenschmaus erwarten und der trailer und das musik video versprechen doch schon einiges. wenn die story auch gut wird erwartet uns wohl ein anime erster klasse :-D (ok, einige werden den anime wohl schon wegen dem stil nicht mögen -_-)

New Gurren Lagann, Higurashi Manga to Start This Month

Queen's Blade, Chibi Vampire artists preview spinoffs in newest Comp Ace

The September issue (released on July 26) of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Comp Ace magazine includes short previews for the new Gurren Lagann and When They Cry - Higurashi manga, both of which will officially start in the next issue on August 26. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Gurren Gakuen-Hen (Gurren School Edition) will feature the cast of Gainax's robot mecha anime in a school in a parallel world in multidimensional space. As the character Kamina puts it, the cast will "enjoy school life" and "sweat under the glittering sun." Kabao Kikkawa (Queen's Blade -Rurō no Senshi-) will draw the manga based on a story by A-ji Zaitsu. Bandai Entertainment staffers have indicated an interest in acquiring the main Gurren Lagann manga, which Kotarō Mori draws in ASCI MediaWorks' Monthly Dengeki Daioh magazine, but they also noted that other companies are interested as well.

The Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Kokoro-Iyashi-hen (When They Cry - Higurashi: Heart-Healing Chapter) manga will also start later this month after a preview in the current Comp Ace issue. The story will be about the character Rika and her after-school club's first summer vacation together. Yuna Kagesaki (Karin/Chibi Vampire, Strange Mansion, Hekikai no AiON) will draw the manga based on Ryukishi07/07th Expansion's mystery suspense visual novels. Kagesaki just started another manga called Hekikai no AiON in July. Another artist, En Kitō, drew two Higurashi manga in Comp Ace previously, but Kitō launched a new manga called Senjō no Valkyria (Valkyria Chronicles) in the July issue.

Aria, Utawarerumono Singer/Songwriter Eri Kawai Dies

Also worked on Air film, Shin-chan, Sketchbook, Bamboo Blade, more

Eri Kawai, the singer-songwriter for Aria, Utawarerumono, and several other anime and live-action series, passed away on Monday at 11:40 a.m. in Japan. Kawai graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and worked in all aspects of music from singing and composing her own songs to arranging and performing for other people's works. Her music can be heard on the soundtracks for the Air movie, Aria the Animation and its sequels, Crayon Shin-chan, Sketchbook ~full color'S~, Bamboo Blade, Romeo X Juliet, Strange Dawn, Tales of Symphonia, and Utawarerumono.

Kawai had been in medical treatment since earlier this year and had to cancel a July 10 solo performance in Tokyo as a result. A wake will be held on Wednesday, and the funeral service will be held on Thursday.

Samuel Jackson on Afro Samurai Live-Action Film Plan

Actor/producer Samuel Jackson discussed the live-action film plan for the Afro Samurai franchise with the MTV television network's Movies Blog. When asked if he would be playing the lead role of Afro, Jackson replied, "I'll be the dead father. I'll show up in some spiritual scenes, and give him some guidance. We'll find some young guy that is capable of doing all those things and make it really cool." Jackson added, "When look at [Afro], I see André 3000" or André Benjamin of the American hip hop duo OutKast.

The planned live-action film, which does not have a finalized script, was originally announced during Comic-Con International in California in 2006. A sequel to the anime series was revealed at this year's convention.

Kyo no Gononi's Release Date, Staff, Cast Announced

The official Japanese website for the television anime version of Coharu Sakuraba's Kyo no Gononi school comedy manga has opened with its premiere date as well as staff and cast lists. The "light ecchi" story about fifth grader Ryōta Satō, his childhood friend Chika Koizumi, and the rest of their school's Class 5-2 will premiere on October 5 in Japan. While Makoto Sokuza will direct the project as he did for the earlier video series, everyone else in the main staff and cast are different. Takamitsu Kouno is supervising the scripts, while Nao Chikaoka is designing the characters that XEBEC will animate. Yu Kobayashi will lead a cast that includes Asami Shimoda, Mako, Satomi Akesaka, Youko Honda, Kana Asumi, Megumi Yamato, and Ayahi Takagaki.

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: SkipDog!, an online Japanese pet store that specializes in puppies and Chihuahuas, is offering dog outfits for cosplay and events. Specifically, it offers "Mobile Suit Pundam" and "Epangelion" knitted hats inspired by the Mobile Suit Gundam and Evangelion anime series. They include hats for the original Pundam, MP-06 Zapu, MSP-006 Zeta Pundam, PX-178 Pundam Mk-II, PX-78 NT-1 Pundam Alepx, PS-18E Punpfer, Paro (pictured at right), PX-77 Puncannon, PX-75 Puntank, MP-07 Goup, MP-09 Dop, and PX-93 Nu Pundam (with a Pin Funnel shirt).

Casshern Sins: Trailer zur Anime Neuauflage

Der neue Trailer zeigt zwar nicht viel mehr neue Szenen als der bereits auf der TAF 2008 gezeigt Clip, aber dafür kann man jetzt einen deutlich besseren Blick auf den Retro Look der von Madhouse produzierten und mit dem Untertitel Sins versehen Neuauflage von Casshern werfen. Und eine Casshern typische Roboter-mit-Faust-durschschlagen Szene ist auch dabei…

Madhouse Still Working on Ninja Scroll 2 Plans

Still needs script that is acceptable to studio founder Maruyama, creator Kawajiri

Masao Maruyama, the co-founder of the Madhouse anime studio, revealed at his Otakon 2008 panel today that his company is still working on plans for a sequel to the Ninja Scroll action anime film. However, he noted that Ninja Scroll 2 project still needs a script that is acceptable to himself and franchise creator Yoshiaki Kawajiri.

The original movie opened in Japan in 1993, and Manga Entertainment released it in North America and other areas. Madhouse has since created a 2003 spinoff television series that Urban Vision licensed for overseas distribution. The American publisher WildStorm created its comic book take on the story in 2006.

Ghiblies 2 Director Momose Working on New Ghibli Work

Studio blog says details are "still secret" for next work from Fireflies animator

The August 2 entry in Studio Ghibli's "Itsumo no Ghibli Nikki" blog revealed that Yoshiyuki Momose, the director and writer of the Ghiblies episode 2 short, is working on a new project at the studio. The blog says that details of the project are "still secret." The blog also says that since not many shots have been done so far, there is not much in way of a set time frame for the project.

Momose first received notice as an animation director on Nippon Animation's The Perrine Story adaptation (1978) of Hector Malot's En Famille novel. He was recruited into Studio Ghibli to work on layout and other duties for Grave of the Fireflies (1988), the first Ghibli film by studio co-founder Isao Takahata. He has since worked on Only Yesterday, Porco Rosso, Pom Poko, Princess Mononoke, Whisper of the Heart, My Neighbors the Yamadas, and Spirited Away. Momose is also known for directing a trilogy of fanciful science fiction shorts: Portable Kuukou, Space Station No. 9, and Sora Tobu Toshi Keikaku.

With the Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea film from Oscar-winning director Hayao Miyazaki playing all across Japan, Studio Ghibli has already revealed that it is working on at least four other projects. Takahata is basing his next film on a Japanese lullaby. Goro Miyazaki, Hayao Miyazaki's son and the first Ghibli Museum curator, is also developing a film after his first directorial work, Tales from Earthsea. Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki said in June that Miyazaki is planning anime shorts for the Ghibli Museum, and the director reportedly indicated that a story about sumo-wrestling mice would be good to do. Ghibli is establishing a second studio in central Japan where Miyazaki can train about 20 new animators to make a museum short. Ghibli president Koji Hoshino said last month that Ghibli will promote one of its own animators to direct a film or recruit a director from outside the studio.

Naar! Is' mit vorsicht zu genießen. Ghibli hat in den letzten Jahren nachgelassen. Außerdem finde ich genrell schwachsinn, das immer gleich in Bezug auf den Namen Ghibli jeder Film groß gehypt wird...

Ghibli ist sowieso overhyped, ich fand nur Monoke Hime wirklich sehenswert. Aber da gibt es sonst sowieso nur "entweder man hasst es oder man liebt es" ich gehöre definitiv zu der "hasst es" Gruppe Laputa z.B. ist einer der schlechtsten Filme gewesen die ich je gesehen habe. Und Filme wie Porco Rosso kann ich mir nur ansehen nach 10 Bier.

Werd aber in Zukunft generell keinen Film mehr von denen angucken, die volle Dröhnung auf dem Anime Filmfest (90% Ghiblifilme) letztes Jahr hat ein zu großes Trauma hinterlassen.

Auf Casshern Sins und Ninja Scroll 2 hingegen freu ich mich extrem. Fand u.a. den Casshern Live-Action sehr genial.

Ghili filme haben halt meistens einen gewissen kindlichen charme, der sie sehenswert macht. Porco Rosso war gut

ich fand Gedo Senki bis jetzt immer noch am schlechtesten (ohne die filme jetzt direkt verglichen zu haben)

auf Ninja Scroll 2 freue ich mich auch

Stan Lee's Pow Develops Quartz with Gonzo's Parent GDH

Animated television series is Lee's third Japanese project in development

Pow! Entertainment, the production company of American comic book pioneer Stan Lee, has revealed on its website that it is developing an animated television series named Quartz with GDH, the corporate parent of the Gonzo anime studio. Lee co-created many of Marvel Comics' flagship franchises, such as Spider-Man, X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and Iron Man. For over 15 years, Gonzo has been producing anime including Afro Samurai, Blue Submarine No. 6, Vandread, and Witchblade.

Pow! Entertainment and Lee have already been working with manga creator Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King), Shueisha's Jump Square magazine, Viz Media's Shonen Jump magazine, and the Sony Music Entertainment subsidiary Dream Ranch on a project called Ultimo. This action title about two super-powered rivals will be previewed in the September issue of Shonen Jump in North America.

Lee is also developing the Hero Man animated television series with the anime studio BONES (Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, Wolf's Rain) and Wowmax Media! in Los Angeles. Director Hitoshi Nanba (Baki the Grappler), designer Shigeto Koyama (Eureka Seven), and animator Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop) are working on the project. Hero Man's story is tentatively set on America's west coast, where a boy discovers a toy robot that turn into a giant robot.

Lee revealed at Comic-Con International in California last month that he was working on a third, unannounced project in Japan, but did not mention the project's title or production partner at the time.

Kleine Warnung an alle die sich Seikirei momentan anschaun.Die Tokyoter Firma BayTSP crawlt momentan Fansub Torrents durch und droht die per IP ermittelnten User zu verklagen.
Der momentan mir einzig Bekannte Fall sind die Seikirei Fansubs mehrerer Gruppen.
Es wird vermutet das insgesammt die Fansubs von Chihiro denen ein Dorn im Auge sind.

Da ich weiß das andere User wie zb. Kanchelkis sich gerne Ikki Tousen und Seikirei geben wollte ich mal ne kleine Warnung aussprechen.Das der Weg den BayTSP geht kein legaler Weg ist scheint wohl zumindest amerikanischen Behörden egal zu sein da dort einigen Leuten mittlerweile der Interdienst gesperrt wurde und Rechnungen ausgestellt.

Ich würde in der nächsten Zeit Seikirei und Chihiro Subs nur STREAMEN

Dann viel Spaß. Bezweifle, dass die Firma die User verklagt, die sich die anschauen. Erstens gibt es da zuviele Leute, die das schauen.
Zweitens müsste die Firma sich die Rechtslagen von über 50 Ländern unterwerfen (die User leben ja nicht alle in Amerika -.-).


Und genau das ist auch der Grund, warum Fansubs "geduldet" werden. Viel zu viel Aufwand in Übersee zu verklagen und sich dann auch noch in die Rechtsmaterie der anderen Länder einzuarbeiten.

Gerecht werden dem Hype imo auch nur Nausicaä (was formel ja eigentlich gar kein Ghibli-Film ist) und Princess Mononoke. Spiritet away fand ich noch sehr gut, Laputa z.B. fand ich aber sehr langweilig.

Wo hast du die Sache mit den Chihiro Subs von Sekirei gelesen? Ich werd dann wohl auch erstmal nach anderen möglichkeiten gucken oder die Serie erstmal pausieren.

Wieviel Wahrheit dahinter steckt sei mal dahin gestellt aber ich lass da erstmal ein bisschen gras drüber wachsen.Soweit ich das mitbekommen habe wurden bisher aber erst US Bürger abgemahnt.

Ja mir ist schon klar das es ein Ding der Unmöglichkiet ist alle Leute die sich Fansubs anschauen abzumahnen.Vielleicht wollen die ja nur ein Exempel statuieren aneinigen wenigen oder die hoffen eben das die verängstigten Leute ohne Anwalt einzuschalten einfach die Rechnung begleichen.

Will jetzt beileibe keine Panik machen sondern einfach nur mal als Info hier reinstellen
