Sega's World Destruction Anime Promo Movie Streamed

I.G's adaptation of Nintendo DS RPG to premiere on Japanese TV on July 7

The website of the Famitsu videogame news resource has posted two promotional movies for Sega's World Destruction role-playing videogame and Production I.G's spinoff anime series. (The anime's promotional movie is the second video on Famitsu website's page.) The Nintendo DS game and television anime revolve around a boy named Kirie Irunisu who secretly possesses the power to destroy the world. While one party seeks to save the world, another party aims to eradicate the world and start anew, and it forces Kirie to join — despite being unaware of his power. The anime will premiere in Japan on July 7.

The video highlights the involvement of Kirie's voice actor Mamoru Miyano (Death Note, Gundam 00) and the main heroine Morute Āshera's voice actress Maaya Sakamoto (Escaflowne, Tsubasa). Rounding out the cast are Yu Kobayashi (Negima!, School Rumble) as the party member Ri A, Hiroyuki Yoshino (Blood+, Gundam 00) as Agan Mādoru, and Daisuke Ono (Air, Shina Dark) as Naja Gurefu. Tohru Furuya (Gundam's Amuro, Sailor Moon's Tuxedo Mask) has finally been identified as the voice of the mascot character Toppi Topuran.

The movie also lists the director Shunsuke Tada (The Prince of Tennis: The National Tournament, Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations) and the script supervisor Masahiro Yokotani (Reideen). The game's original character designs by Kunihiko Tanaka (Xenosaga Episode I, Key the Metal Idol, Ruin Explorers manga) will be adapted for the anime by character designer Keita Matsumoto (Blood+, XXXHOLiC key animation). Yoshihiro Ike (Blood: The Last Vampire, Karas, Flag) will compose the music. Last Exile character designer and Knights manga creator Minoru Murao will be drawing the manga adaptation.

Bandai Entertaiment Gets Tamagotchi Feature Film

Second theatrical anime based on Bandai's original electronic pet

The North American distributor Bandai Entertainment has announced at its Project A-Kon panel on Friday that it acquired the Eiga de Tōjō! Tamagotchi Doki Doki! Uchū no Maigotchi!?, the first feature-length anime film based on Bandai's original electronic pet. This is actually the second theatrical project based on the franchise, since Bandai produced the Tamagotchi Honto no Hanashi theatrical short during the toy line's first boom in 1997. The Bandai toy company and its Bandai Visual subsidiary in Japan also produced a 1997-1998 television series, Anime TV de Hakken! Tamagotchi. The Tamagotchi feature garnered over 700,000 viewers and over 750 million yen (about US$7.5 million) at the Japanese box office.

New My-Hime Project Begun in Japan
The official Japanese website of the My-HiME and My-Otome supernatural slice-of-life anime franchises has announced that a new project has begun with a different heroine, Mao. No more information has been given for now, but the website that promises additional details will be provided soon.

Neuer Charakter sieht auch nett aus... wie ein Kind von Haruka und Yukino. :lol:

imo sagt mir kein Anime was von der Sommer Season. Hab nicht mal Spring fertig :rofl3:

aber die, die romance, fun, harem und Co sind haben schon mal ein Auge ;)

der Rest mal schauen :)

Dito hoffentlich wieder mehr Drama und wieder nen tick ältere Protagonisten -also eigentlich mehr HiME (aber dann bitte ohne druck auf den Reset-Knopf am ende). Otome fand ich nur so la-la (Eigentlich hat mich bei Otome nur interessiert wie sich die alten HiME Charaktere schlagen...)

Kurztrailer für Clannad: Tomoyo-Hen veröffentlicht

Auf der offiziellen Homepage von Clannad kann man nun einen ersten Blick auf die Clannad: Tomoyo-Hen (Clannad: Tomoyo Edition) OVA werfen.

Der 30-sekündige Trailer zeigt kurze Szenen aus der am 16. Juli mit der achten Volume der Serie veröffentlichten OVA, die ein eigenständiges Szenario behandelt in dem Tomoyo die Hauptrolle spielt.

First Detroit Metal City Anime Mini-Episode Streamed

Rock parody anime to ship in Japan in August before live-action film's opening

The online retailer Amazon is streaming the first episode of the Detroit Metal City anime in Japanese. The anime adapts Kiminori Wakasugi's comedy manga about a shy singer's rise to glory as the lead vocalist of a death metal band. Studio 4°C (Tekkonkinkreet, Genius Party) animated this five-minute, 33-second "Real Legend" episode as part of a 24-episode series. The entire anime will ship in a 168-minute DVD box set in Japan on August 8.

The live-action film adaptation of the manga happens to open two weeks after the anime box set release on August 23. Yuji Ueda (Pokémon, Rurouni Kenshin, Martian Successor Nadesico) plays the lead role of Sōichi, whereas Ken'ichi Matsuyama (Death Note's "L") plays Sōichi in the film. Similarly, Masami Nagasawa (Touch) will voice the animated version's heroine Yuri, whereas the film will feature Rosa Kato in that starring role instead. Matsuyama and Kato will appear in the animated version, but in entirely different roles. Matsuyama will play an actor named Hokazono, while Kato will play an actress named Yamano. In an exercise in meta-commentary, the characters Hokazono and Yamano are stars in a fictional film within the story; the film is Sōichi's first romantic movie.

bin ja mal gespannt, wie die serie wird

Ken'ichi Matsuyama mit pilzkopf, bei dem mega smile kann man garnicht glauben, dass der L gespielt hat ^^
