Mr. Osomatsu Anime's 3rd Episode to be Partially Altered for Home Video, Streaming

The official website of the comedy television anime series Mr. Osomatsu (Osomatsu-san) announced on Friday that the first Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume of the series will include a different version of the show's third episode "Kobore Banashi-shū," with some parts of the episode altered from the original terrestrial broadcast version. The first Blu-ray/DVD volume is slated for a January 29 release.

In addition, the staff also announced that the anime's production committee has decided to remove the previous broadcast version of the show's third episode from streaming sites, replacing it with the newly altered version. The following sites will replace the episode on Tuesday, November 24:

- dTV
- Ani Tele Theater
- Rakuten ShowTime
- Video Market
- U-NEXT
- Anime Hōdai
- Bandai Channel
- J:COM On Demand
- Video Pass
- milplus
- Auhikari
- iTSCOM On Demand
- TOKAI On Demand
- Actvilla
- Hikari TV
- PlayStation Video
- TSUTAYA TV
- DMM.com
- GYAO!
- Niconico Video
- d Anime Store

In a press conference on October 29, Yūichi Takahashi of TV Tokyo apologized for the series' third episode. The episode contained a parody of the Anpanman children's anime character. The episode's satellite broadcast already contained a number of alterations to distance the parody from Anpanman.

The show's first episode was also removed from streaming sites in Japan on November 12, and Crunchyroll removed the episode on November 11. The entire first episode will be reanimated for the home video release.

Japan does not have a parody exception or provision in its copyright law. Therefore, making parodies of copyrighted works may illegally violate a copyright owners' "right to maintain integrity," if performed without the copyright holder's prior consent.

Fujio Akatsuka's original Osomatsu-kun manga and "high tension comedy" TV anime centered on the Matsuno household, which has six naughty and mischievous sons (who are sextuplets). All of the sextuplets, including the eldest Osomatsu, are all in love with the same girl, Totoko. The original series followed the family when the sons were 10 years old.

The series premiered on October 5. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.

TV Anime's Main Staff, Lead Voice Actress, Key Visual Revealed

The official site for the TV anime adaptation of Rurū Minase's Ōya-san wa Shishunki (Landlord is in Puberty) manga has announced the show's main staff, theme song artist, key visual, and lead voice actress.

Yuki Ogawa (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend episode director, My Wife is the Student Council President storyboard writer) is directing the anime at Seven Arcs Pictures. Atsuki Shimizu (Boruto -Naruto the Movie- key animator, Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A animation director) is in charge of character designs and is also serving as the chief animation director. Arte Refact (Komori-san Can't Decline, BlazBlue Alter Memory) is composing the music and King Records and bilibili are producing the music.

"every❤ing!," a unit made up of voice actresses Ibuki Kido and Erii Yamazaki, will perform the theme song.

The website also revealed that Yurika Kubo (Love Live!'s Hanayo Koizumi, Monster Musume's Tionisia) will voice the lead character Chie Satonaka. The key visual's (pictured below) accompanying tagline reads: "I want to live in this kind of apartment!"

The anime will premiere in January.

The four-panel manga follows a protagonist who is living alone for the first time after finding employment. At his tiny, no-bath apartment he finds a landlord who looks like a little sister. She does the cooking and housework, so sometimes seems like a grandmother, but she also enjoys a normal middle school life with her friends.

Minase launched the manga in Manga Time in 2012, and it also began serializing in Manga Time's sister publication Manga Time Family in January 2014. Houbunsha shipped the fourth compiled volume on May 7.

Thanks to Rachel S. for the news tip.

The tagline on the visual reads, "A baby born from a mother burned at the stake — What that life inherited, is the fateful title…."

The film is a sequel set four years after Honō no Kokuin, the first Garo the Animation television series. Director Yuichiro Hayashi, head writer Yasuko Kobayashi, and the anime studio MAPPA are reuniting after working on the first Garo the Animation television series. The teaser trailer will begin running on November 28, at Tokyo's Shinjuku Wald 9 and other theaters that will run the film itself next spring.

Monday's event also announced that there will be two more live-action television series. The omnibus television series Garo -Makai Retsuden- (pictured above) will reunite the cast members of previous works next spring. The Zerō television series (pictured bottom left in image below) will be a television series version of the Zerō -Black Blood- films that opened in March 2014. Ray Fujita will reprise his starring role next year.
