Ich habe mal die letzten Aussagen von Matt aus dem Resetera Forum zusammengetragen:
Matt:
Über SSD :
You’ll see specific examples soon enough I imagine.
And to be clear, things like the velocity architecture and compression are nice extras, just like the their equivalents are on the PS5.
But saying they will make up the diffrence between the two SSD’s is this gen’s version of saying FP16 will close the gap between the PS4 Pro and the X.
As far as third party games go I expect the SSD-related differences between the two systems to be relatively small, probably roughly equivalent to the relative GPU differences. In other words, I expect the overall IO performance to generally favor the PS5 in the same way the GPU performance will favor the SX. Both of them using SSD's is already going to have a massive impact on all console games.
I don't expect MS first party titles to generally benefit from the SX's SSD more than third parties do, but I do think some of Sony's games will be where the impact of the PS5's SSD will really be able to shine
In terms of what the hardware can do? No, the PS5 SSD is significantly faster.
In terms of the impact on, say, multi-platform games? That will be modest.
Über die Power der Konsolen:
I never said that. But the idea that the difference between these two systems will be greater than the Pro and the X is delusional. It’s significantly less.
No, the SX is “stronger,” there will be graphical differences. They will just be pretty modest.
The best looking games on the PS5 and the best looking games on the SX won’t be very far apart, first or third party.
Über Ray Tracing:
I wouldn’t consider it to reach the level of “significant,” but for sure the SX has an advantage.
Hat er Spiele auf beiden Systemen gesehen?
Yes.
But even if that weren’t the case, numbers don’t lie. These systems perform basically as their specs say they should.
Which is pretty close to each other.
