Too bored to Wii?
After attending Nintendo Fusion, a concert tour put on by Nintendo this last year to showcase the Wii, I found many gamers quickly becoming tired of the motion controller and wanting to reclaim the old feeling of sitting down, relaxing and passively playing their games. The public were finding that having to swing their arms and move their hands in a tae-bo fashion became a hassle. They soon quit the Wii and wandered off to enjoy the music of bands such as the Plain White Ts and Hawthorne Heights.
I also found many of them putting down the game because it wasnt realistic enough for them or it got boring too fast. One gamer stated, Zelda was really hard to learn at first, and once I got into the game I found myself wanting to go home instead and hop on to Halo 2 with my buddies.
In the end, Nintendo is the fastest selling console on the market, however this could be due to the PS3s high price point and unavailability of games and the 360s limited game library. Although once the PS3 hits Europe in March and rolls out the highly anticipated titles like Heavenly Sword, Devil May Cry 4, and Killzone 2, gamers may likely forget about the Wii.
