God of War III Looks Better Than What Has Been Shown
The recently released screens and mag scans that set 't3h internetz' ablaze are indeed from an older build of the game, the same build shown to the press way back.
Looking at the recently released OPM July edition scans of God of War III, some 'new' screens can be seen, I was quick to get in contact with a few people in the know, who confirmed to me that yes, they are indeed screenshots from the Previous build.
Bruno Velazquez, the Lead God of War III animator commented on his latest blog post:
"Wow, I haven't seen that magazine yet, I need to go pick it up. I can confirm that, based on the scans, all the images are take straight from the game engine. All of the characters shown are the actual in-game models, not concept art. The build that these images were captured from is months old."
Just how much better does it look?
Unfortunately I can't answer that, considering I am yet to see the new build, but we can expect it to look better, after all the build we're seeing now dates as far back as June 2008 or so, obviously if Sony decide to show the new build of God of War III at E3, you can expect some sort of graphical improvements.
What else is there to know?
Well you can rest assured that we will get even more God of War III info and screenshots, as that wasn't an E3 leak or something, so we'll be receiving countless more screenshots, to get us excited for Santa Monica's game. I would also like to stress the fact that Santa Monica are aware of people's concerns for the game, not necessarily how it'll play, but how it'll look, and I can assure you guys they have got it covered.
To put it shortly, God of War III is not going to be released until it's the best it can be, that includes visuals too, and that's all I'm saying for now
