WII Cannel
As one of the development concepts of Wii there is the thought of increasing the channel to the television of home.

Heftig, was man mit dem Wii noch für Sachen so machen kann. Opera, Fotobearbeitung, diese Infos zum Wetter...da ist viel Zeug schon integriert (wer das braucht ist wieder eine andere Frage)

Aber Disaster hat grafisch nen Sprung gemacht....und der Gegner in Red Steel hat viel mehr Details wenn ichs richtig erkannt habe.

Ich hab zwar vieles erwartet, doch diese Videoflut von diesem ganzen Multimediadings überrascht mich jetzt doch. Das muss ich jetzt erst mal verdauen.
Einerseits ist es vielleicht ganz spassig mal zu schauen wie so das Wetter auf der Welt ist oder nach dem Spielen schnell noch mal mit dem Wii ins Internet zu gehn. Diese Figurensimulation, was auch immer das sein soll, ist vielleicht auch für was zu gebrauchen und die Photos sind ein ganz nettes Feature.
Doch andererseits ist der Wii jetzt schon fast mehr PC als Konsole (von den Funktionen, nicht von der Technik her). Das hat mich bei Nintendo immer gefreut, ein reines Spielerlebnis. Ich brauch keinen Wii um Photos zu bearbeiten. Und mein PC hat auch relativ schnell gebootet, wenn ich im Internet etwas nachschauen will. Vorallem hab ich da noch wesentlich mehr Funktionen. Viele werden sich zwar vielleicht über diese Funktionen freuen, ich vielleicht auch noch die ersten zwei Tage, doch für solche Dinge hab ich einen PC. Auf einer Konsole will ich spielen. Klar ich muss diese Funktionen nicht nutzen, doch diese Entwicklung gefällt mir einfach nicht. Wenns so weiter geht, werden die Konsolen in zehn Jahren wiedereinmal ausgestorben sein. Dann heisst es lang leben die PC-basierten Konsolen. Lang lebe das Phantom.

Verstehe es nicht - musst die Funktionen ja nicht nutzen . Der Wii soll halt der Mittelpunkt des Zimemrs darstellen womit jeder etwas anfangen kann - ob Gamer oder nicht.

Kann Wii jetzt eigentlich doch DVDs abspielen- das ganze kommt ja als Home Center daher... mit Fernbedienung.
